Getting banned for no reason?

After viewing some of my inbox submissions, I came across an image that I found amusing and wanted to leave a modest nice comment on, only to find I've been banned from said person's page.

I've never known the person 1 on 1 and am unsure as to what could have even happened that would to warrant banning me.

like... what have i done that's so "downright evil" that I needed to be banned if the most I can do is leave comments and generally say things like "excellent work."?

infuriating, but i guess that means that i don't need to waste my time on them either.

it's not technically banning, it's blocking
and people have many potential reasons for why they block other people
-some people would block because you have opinions they don't like
-some would block you because you respond/take part in drama
-some would block you because associate with/chat with people who they don't like/who have opinions they don't like

also, are you sure they actually blocked you at all?
because it may be the case that a picture has comments turned off for everyone rather than just you, and as far as i know you may just assume that only you were blocked, while in truth all the comments from everyone on that picture may be "blocked"
(also, if there are already comments there, it is furthermore possible that they were initially allowed but later blocked, and are now blocked)

Well, they have hundreds of shouts on their page and have plenty of inane banter on their submissions. I went to comment like anyone else and found i could not. I cannot shout, comment, anything but look and favorite.

I'd point them out, but I've ALWAYS been attacked for doing so.

I honestly don't know.

As I said, best I could do would be to post who it is, but i did that before and I got legions of frothing fans attacking me and a moderator notice for "attacking someone's account".
