"Abando was the first furry convention to be held annually in Brazil. Founded in 2008, occurs during the Brazilian Carnival (a traditional holiday there), and since then it’s been writing history on everyone’s hearts, from all corners of Brazil and some from abroad. This year, we will have it's next, and sadly, LAST edition, and this is very saddening, since i started going only last year, and loved every second of it. It was one of the best experiences I've ever had, and knowing that this next one is the last, gets me very down.
I met many people there, and made lots of new friends that I hope to keep close to me for a loong time, and I had this incredible feeling of acceptance, something like "being with your own kind", the feeling of community there is strong and powerful.
I was already very excited to go to this year's edition, now, I am already missing it, we are losing not just a "event", but our best chance to get in contact with others we relate so deeply with.
If any of you guys ever wanted, or didn't even heard about, and want to go, this is your last chance. I hope to see you all there.
