New Here/Trying to Update my Account

I am finally able to update this account after a long time of not being able to. I hope you guys like my stuff. I can be found on FurAffinity, where my gallery is more updated than over here if you would like to see what I have done.

FA to IB may be of assistance - you can select works which you haven't uploaded already and which are within our content policies to pre-upload here for your review/keywording/rating.

Also something that is very tedious is having to mark them out of being hidden one at a time. Is there a way to make that process not as annoying or is that the only way?

A long time ago, we used to give out the ability to mass-publish work. But almost every time we did, we found that some of their work wasn't properly keyworded, or its ratings hadn't been adjusted to match ours (we have different polices for visible arousal, and we also have a rating for violence). In this case, looking at a few of the works, some have no keywords (including a lack of sex, species, etc), and some of the rest have only the bare minimum, probably filled in by the auto-import script.

Unlike FA, keywords are very important here for our search and blocking features. I therefore suggest reviewing each work and taking a moment to consider whether it has all the keywords it could have, before publishing it. This will also help spread your work on the "Latest" pages rather than have people skip across a whole bunch of work and miss it.

Note that work is re-dated to "now" on first publication, so it should be published "from the back" of the full gallery list.

Aw dang. Oh well. I shall abide by the rules given to me. Also, do you have a rule against posting reminders for adopts and auctions or anything of the sort?

I had that struggle with FA because apparently reminders couldn't be posted to show that the adopts were still available or that there was this much time left on an auction. I found the rule a bit strange considering that half of the artists on the site were doing the same thing and most weren't penalized for it, yet I got a warning for the first time. And the sad part is that they limited the reminders to journals, which barely anyone bothers to look at. A lot of artists depended on submission reminders rather than journal reminders considering that a lot of people would look at the front page to look at all the recent submissions. Journals themselves couldn't be seen on the front page of the site. Only the watchers can see them, which really hinders the opportunity for new customers that artists can get.

I left this in a tab a long time ago and it never got answered. Sorry about that!

One of the reasons FA does that is that they sell ad space. In that sense you're trying to get a similar benefit by repeatedly posting a promotion. Inkbunny doesn't sell ads, so that reason doesn't really apply here.

But there are a few other reasons. Promos take up space in the database, to a certain extent even after they're deleted. They also tend to be repeats of an image that some have already seen, pushing an actual new piece of art out of the way. This is unfair to other people who don't post such promotions, just their art - which is most members. Fresh art is the best promotional tool.

Promotional images are not super-common on Inkbunny, but they are used occasionally. We ask that if you use them, you make them in some way unique, and remove them after use - that way at least the images eventually cycle off the server.

Thank you so much for this tremendous response. You've clarified a lot for me. :)
