I don't know enough about Doom to recommend one over the other, but in the case of Squaresoft offerings, I put points into 6 and CT.

By Final Doom do you mean you'll be playing both The Plutonia Experiment AND TNT:Evilution?! :O

If so then Final Doom. Otherwise, Doom 2. :P

Also a vote for FF9 'cause Burmecians. :V

I considered doing something with TNT/Plutonia, but they're basically like running a longer Doom 2 ^^;

Understandable. :P TNT/Plutonia were designed with veteran Doom players in mind so the difficulty curve of them (especially Plutonia as the first level introduces the Revenant, Arch-Vile, and Mancubus) spikes quicker than Doom and Doom 2.

Oh god XD I mostly remember Epyx's Summer Games being full of games I was terrible at! The only one I could do with competence was the kick sack one. (Kick + turn) * patience = win!

That was California Games. There was a whole series; Summer Games, Summer Games II, Winter Games, Winter Games II, California Games, World Games (which had caber tossing!) and so on.

Then there were assorted ripoffs and clones, like EA's Caveman Ugh-Lympics (which had fire-starting, wife-tossing, dino-racing, etc.)

Back in the '80s these were top-tier games. Now they'd be considered crappy minigame collections!

Ooo~ But which one out of FF6 or CT? I'm kinda letting the double-choice slide for those that didn't pick a version of Doom, but really it should be one from either list.

Definitely vote Final Doom because I'm a fan of things from the start (and because it turns out I've only ever encountered Doom 2 not 1 XD).

Going to vote Final Fantasy 5 because it's one I've never heard anything about.

(And sorry it's taken me so long to reply to this. Might not be able to make event as RL is pretty busy but wish it all the best! :) )

Don't know much about Doom, but I can certainly put a vote in for Final Fantasy 5 (SNES version in Japanese would be cool).

Yeah, the only one's that'll really get speedrun will be Super Metroid and Axiom Verge. Unless it gets to 100%, then I'll need to do some studying. XD

At least you can have a small section of your marathon that is games done quickish :)

Also I had added to my post that seeing the original SNES version in Japanese would be cool.

Doom 2 and Final Fantasy 9. I love FF7 to death, but FF9 is my next favorite ^^;

Grabbed FF3 and 4 in the summer sale. I really must play those too...
