Back online with new server - and cash still needed

Well that didn't take days.. it's nice to be wrong sometimes!

We are now running on our new server Elmo. Quad Core Xeon, 1TB disk, 4GB ram and unlimited bandwidth.

The new server is waaay faster than the old one. Now we'll be ready for the high load we're expecting when we go live.

Please let us know right away if anything seems broken or is behaving oddly.

We use a very kind hosting company that lets us use the server before we pay. We still owe them $600US for three months which will last us until the end of August.

We're still a long way short of sourcing that cash. If we don't pay in a week we'll get disconnected. I do not have an income or savings to cover this. My time is dedicated to Inkbunny, and it doesn't make an income yet. So I am relying on the help of anyone who believes in what we are doing! If you can donate even a small amount, please contact us.

Isn't 500GB a little small for a community art website?
Of course I understand there aren't much funds yet, but 500GB seems really small to fit so much artwork on.
The unlimited bandwidth is awesome though. :)

Even if each submission were 5Mb, we could fit about 200,000 on a 1TB disk. If it gets to that point, we'll probably be able to afford another one. :-)

WOOO! Can't wait. Glad we're on the great servers now. I'm sure once the site goes public, you'll get more donations.

I've been pimping out this sit eon my streams lately, and have been encouraging people to not only join, but to donate if they believe in the site.... and so far, most that I've seen have shown a ton of interest! :3
