Update

I have replaced my ancient Wacom Tablet with a shiny new XPPen Artist Pro 16, and I'm trying to get into the habit of drawing on it a little each day. The habit has not formed yet.

You might have noticed I haven't posted anything lately, though. Truth is that I'm going through a really rough patch right now which means I'm rather depressed, and this has had had a compounding effect on the artist block I was already feeling. Nothing feels fun to draw and nothing looks good to me.

I'll get through it, but I might not exceed my previous year's upload record like I have the last few years.

I feel you. I bought a Huion tablet about 2 months ago and haven't used it yet.

It's hard to get excited about anything these days.

It's hard to get excited about things when my personal life, my job, and the world in general seem to be on fire.

But we must persevere. And sometimes that means acting as if everything is fine despite that manifestly not being the case.
