[URGENT] A final, important message to everyone

This is a message that is critical to the future of InkBunny and it's members. I hope that this message goes as widespread as it is able. Please, if you are able, help ensure that people are made aware of this. Help share this journal with others, all InkBunny members should be aware of this new change.

The Inkbunny staff, including its most prolific Administrator

GreenReaper

have officially doubled down that 3D artworks of any kind are not permitted on this website, unless you make every single element in the image from scratch, citing the "screenshots" segment of the Acceptable Upload Policy. The segment in question:

Screenshots
No screenshots from games or other software unless they show your own artwork or creations. Your creations in the screenshot must be original and not just modifications of standard avatars, models, templates, etc that come with the software or that you purchased from other creators.

No frames or segments (or portions of those) from movies, animations, TV shows, etc that you don't own copyright to.

It has been as of a few weeks ago silently determined that ALL forms of software-based 3D art, regardless of origin- including dedicated 3D artwork platforms such as Blender or DAZ Studio- qualify as "screenshots" under this policy segment. As such, they have been silently deleting entire galleries since whenever this new interpretation first came into effect.

They'd probably allow a lot of things, but they would require censorship. I don't do censorship.

From what I've seen there - it is only required for title pages for submissions. People post 2-3 pages where first page is censored, and the rest are not

Too little, too late, really. Staff should have thought about that before making irreversible decisions and sending Reaper out to double down on their nonsense.

If they intended to do that at all, they would have done it before it all blew up in their face. They're just trying to salvage what's left of a sinking ship in the hopes that they won't lose all the 3D artists on their site.

It seems that they were a little hasty when they put up this rule.
Main reason for that new rule is the same for AI: Too much data spam with too little quality. Fisky is NOT spaming and neither are you, Bachri, I know, but some little ones are just dumping out gigabites of png submissions.
I hope they clearify it soon so it won't become a dumpsterfire again.

Why just stop at one media type why not all media types that have copyright. Might as well just rip the bandaid off fast. There are image downloaders for these kind of sites. If you needed to get backup of your gallery or the entire ib gallery.
