A little story about Zootopia

Sorry about the bait and switch. Zootopia is only incidentally involved in this story.

But about... Wow, has it been nine years? Nine years ago, Zootopia came out in theatres. In Denver, a group of furries rented out an entire theatre to view Zootopia. It was going to be a big furry Zootopia party and it was free for any furries that signed up to see it.

It was hosted by the Furry Raiders.
MOST people didn't know the name back then, Twitter wasn't the way it was quite yet, There were still a lot of furs using yahoo mail groups and email lists, so the voices that said "look out, that's Burned Fur v2" had trouble speaking over the sex and party vibes that the Furry Raiders were trying to hand out at first. They did this a lot, rent big and grand buildings to host nice parties.

Then the actual creedo of the Raiders started to leak. People uncomfortable at parties where dudes were gathered talking about them nwords in the white house, talking about games and furries being "infiltrated" by Ess Jay Dubbayous. Lil bits of chan culture slipping in.

In the end, the grandest parties and the grandest conventions couldn't keep people in the Furry Raiders once their true colors had began to fly. And I'm still hurt about it. I put so much work into my game rooms for the convention that the Raiders rotted from within.

What's the relevance now though?
From a purely technical standpoint, InkBunny is built so well. It has the infrastructure for the art, for the many kinds of media one might create, for the sales and exchange of commissions for announcing live events, for the socializing of it, for the avoidance of content you don't like. And I invested into it as my home, as the place I exist. I cant possibly have the attention span to do many places at once socially.

But you always saw it in the cracks. The R0areys and C1garSkunks being given little wrist slaps and second chances and only when large stinks were made. It POURS from the cracks now, and the wallpaper is ripping. Evidence of it's rot, AI, the mold of the right. I tried to ignore that, too.

But I suppose it can no longer be ignored when the owner states in plain uncertain terms that the owner can never accept people as the identify themselves. All the science and social logic in the world unable to convince otherwise. Quoting directly the worst person of power alive today to justify their beliefs makes it clear where their beliefs come from.

The nicest house to party in can't cover up who the party is for.

So here's a phpBB place, And it's Fuf's place. phpBB isn't a nice house. It's not a fancy rented theatre, It's not even a proper art gallery, it's a forum. Trailer house of the internet these days.
But right now, it's safe, and it's not rotting. I don't need to breath the stink of AI there.

"	If someone could be "he" or "she" depending on their personal perspective, I don't see that the words can be a useful means of communicating anything. They are not the same as a name - they are a statement of fact, and that fact is about their sex.

This one's a quite from Donald Trump. I mean Green Reaper. I mean both.

I mean, that's up for you to decide. I can't tell you one way or the other here. I don't think it's as bad as folks are saying, but you read the same stuff as me.

It is indeed willful ignorance, because after being called out on it, he continues to do so instead of correcting himself.

It also does not help that he believes that people who send out hateful rhetoric towards trans people does not violate the rules, only when they directly target a single trans individual will he consider it harassment. This scares off people who don't want to associate with bigots.

You can see the bigots calling him based for being transphobic in his shouts, or their journals. As I said, he will only be surrounded by bigots if he does not change for the better. He will surround himself with hateful people who's only purpose on this site is to drive away trans people and spread misinformation and vitriol across the site.

It becomes increasingly difficult to fall back on the idea of having a powerfully analytical mind with empathy problems being the sole cause and motivator of a hurtful and unscientific position with each passing year filled with blunt evidence requiring no empathy to see or understand.

I know GreenReaper was your friend.
I also know Scorch was my friend.

Green was not my friend. We were rivals of a sort when it came down to it in the end. We kept each other at a distance due to our different perspectives on the world, and we had other more important things to do than argue with one another. My recent attempts to sway him is for the health of the site, and his own mental health in hopes he'll figure out that it'll be awfully lonely being praised by hateful people who scare away others.

Those who refuse empathy will never be able to be a friend to me. I suffer from hyperempathy at times, and it's awful when your friends are suffering.

Well uh, good luck with creating the transphile circlejerking echo chamber I guess? The website is small enough for a community coup.

If people just go complete nuts about an adminowner having a different opinion about the use of pronouns than theirs, it's not that bad that they take their leave. The idea of "using the 'wrong' pronouns without the intent to hurt === transphobic" is ridiculous and unrealistic.

Also I figured out in that journal that it does not require a lot to set up those people against you. They see enemies in everyone who does not share their same opinion. Quite childish.

I can't imagine being this angry that transpeople exist that you call anyone who supports them "transphiles"

Also, posting a comment of you deliberately snarkily antagonizing someone as some sort of "gotcha" because they're not emotionless at all times, after they've been repeatedly stressed out from things like, say, the President of the country she lives in saying people like her do not count as human beings and are inherently "lying" about their identity, is..not a very bright move.
