UPDATES
The game can be played online.
You can load and save games to the clipboard, allowing you to transfer saved games between copies of this game, or back them up.
I've added a NewGame+ feature.
After beating the game, click "replay" and you'll see a new tab on your HUD, this will allow you to instantly replay any missions you've already completed.

Techie Details
I had to do some interesting things to make this possible.
First of all, the game keeps track of which missions you've seen, independently of your saved game, so you can jump around all you like, looking for any you've missed.
The way it actually replays the missions is by loading one of several pre-defined saved games that are stored in the _common level as XML text. These saved games jump directly to the parts of the game where you can see each mission.

Fun game. Did you use RPG Maker?

I actually created my own RPG Maker in Flash.

This game was originally started as a way to stress-test my editor to make sure everything worked right, and reveal any missing features I'd need or want.
I figure that the best way to test something is to actually use it.
Not just pretend to use it with "use cases", but to actually use it to make something.

This game is very ambitious from a technical stand-point.
The sprites appear, disappear, or change behavior based on the state of missions, items, and miscellaneous flags.
Add-on features are injected into the game by loading additional flash files, such as the menu system, darkness effects, yes-no choices, etc...
You can save or load just about anywhere and everything will get preserved and be recreated, even the injected flash files.
There's even a point where it runs another game inside of it, without the two games interfering with each other.

There was an odd glitch that I ran into a couple times trying to hand out the binoculars... I'll write down the exact circumstances of it later, but I was never able to finish that mission.

I found a glitch? myself, I think. When the robot and Shelly were going at it towards the end, I could see the real Shelly, but not the robot which should have been in front of her much like just about everyone else in the game, heh heh heh. Shelly was wriggling and squealing, but the robot couldn't be seen at all.

That's the exact spot I was talking about. That was the start of my troubles. It's fun and wonderful but makes me sad I couldn't 100% the stories. ^_^

A really impressive game in the Hitchcock style, if it could scale to larger dispalys, the entire town would be visible at once, so no scrolling?

Theres a minor problem with the use of character squares, and free form pixel based movement, occasionally you get stuck on what you insist is an open space, and the opposite for the bushes. Just the way the engines designed.

I managed to hand out teh binoculars, the guy with green pants wouldnt take his until after Freinds Night in (?) In biancas house, then when I picked up the tent, and the sequence played out in back, the screen went black, as in not proceeding to teh next scene. At that point, in the task list, Lisa was outlined, as in ongoing, but tere was no text associated with her to say what teh task was.

I picked up the second film before picking up the leash, the dog option no longer existed, and I think due to that, the petshop guard option never triggered.

I think the most freustrating point was not being able to get out of the underground tunnels due to being caught. that was a really impressively annoying puzzle. 8} I can say that now, because I finally got through it. 8}

I need to go through the game again, see if I can get all the tasks. just one thing, I see no quit option, just the normal windows Close button in teh frame. Even at Fin, It just sits there. Design?

Thanks for all the hard work. Happily waiting to see if you do anything else. 8)

I've played this game and some of these missions people describe I didn't get!

I got lost in the changing underground maze a few times (trapped between two boulders for about 12 screens that was awesome.

Based on my experience with the original BSC2 I d/l'd some months ago, if you find and release the captives then they are able to start other activities for Shelly to do. If not then the events will not happen.
