Good Morning from Chicago!

Day two of my holiday around the country. Started at home in Florida. Waking this morning with a lovely 32nd floor view inside the Loop in Chicago. Exploring a bit around town today then tomorrow we depart by train to San Francisco & the California coast. Then a little jump over the Rocky Mountains to Phoenix before the final trip back to Florida in time to ring in the New Year with my kitties.

We were through there on our trip a couple years ago but this time we're headed due west. Will definitely be coming back one day. I not only LOVE cheese but want to one day visit one of my favorite childhood authors home in Edgerton.

Agreed, wish I had the opportunity to go out and travel. Alas Russians don't get any visas whatsoever at the moment and that makes me feel rather horrible.

I absolutely love Chicago. I went to Great Lakes for Navy boot camp in 88 and fell in love with it during my weekends for a month after. I've been back twice since & it's never lost the magic.

Weather could have been nicer this time around. >.< Non-stop fog at 40F. Well, supposed to rain like crazy today but we're out on the train at 14:00.
