A Good Watch

This is the best video I've seen on youtube regarding the subject of whether or not trans women can be considered women. It's very thorough XP.

Despite it being called a sex change that some folk go under it is really just gender confirmation surgery. It's under the idea that gender and sex is different so the idea is they aren't getting surgery to change the biological sex, but instead to fit what they are more comfortable being. Though some people do hormones or nothing at all. Doesn't really change how valid they are as a person.

Your definitely not less of a person for being trans or haveing an operation, they do however often insist there new gender expression or identity be treated as if it was sex and more then a few times I've found myself face to face with somebody demanding myself or others not only tolerate there sex change (they refer to it as such far to often to ignore the plot at this point) but to embrace it. Tolerance for how another person wishes to live so long as they harm no one is virtue, but tolerance is no longer acceptable you have to validate and praise! Or your camiting violence.

Most have no issues with trans folk myself included but we draw the line when we're expected to tell them how beautiful there choice is and yes We absolutely would suck there lady dick...

Part of tolerance is at least respecting people's name and gender.
I understand like, 90% of cisgendered straight people do not find transgendered people of the opposite gender attractive and it's very rude to try and force people into dating you or else you decry them bigoted. But at the very least just like, respect their name and pronouns.

Also unrelated but I love the art you commission.

tolerance is not acceptance, especially if harmful.  We do not tolerant anorexic people. we get them help.  How is that different?  Well hospitals dont make a ton of money of anorexics and income stream for life.  Always follow the money.

And NO, I dont need to memorize your pronouns.  That's an idiot thing to say.  I can barely memorize names, but you want me to memorize your made up pronouns?  Are you for real?  Do you not realize, pronouns are used when you are NOT AROUND?  When talking to a person, you call them by name, not a pronoun.  So you want to dictate to me how I refer to you when you arent there when I can barely remember your name.  That pronouns as a gay man would be bitch.  As in, that bitch wants to control my speech, what a bitch.

I am offended by the use of antagonist term cisgender instead of normal.  How dare you use offensive terms, ya bitch.

Ah man sorry i'll just not bother to remember your name or your pronouns. How DARE you make me remember things.
Do you see how ridiculous that sounds? "hi my name is ted" "No it's jim. And i refuse to accept any other name"

Also Cis literally just means  "on the near side of, on this side," while trans means the opposite of that. It's a descriptor to say that a cis person assigned gender at birth lines up with their current identity. It just makes things easier to explain. Literally not antagonistic.

Also this "We do not tolerant anorexic people. we get them help.  How is that different?" Is not a proper example. Getting help for a trans person is helping them align with who they are. This would be like telling anorexic people to get over themselves and that they made up their illness and only not eat so they can get attention. Or refusing to give a schizophrenic person medication because you're only 'validating' their delusions by treating it. Treating trans people like shit and trying to send them to reeducation camps isn't helping them. Do you tell depressed people just feel happy, stop faking, you can choose to be happy?

Either way comparing being trans to mental illness doesn't even work. Being trans isn't innately a mental illness. It CAN be. but there are some people who feel no dysphoria, and instead only feel gender euphoria. It's literally just a thing people are. We don't argue gay people aren't gay and are only faking and getting manipulated by the sex toy industry to sell more dildos. While sexuality and gender isn't the same, they are both the same in NOT BEING A MENTAL ILLNESS. Thus, you cannot cure being trans.

Either way treatment for trans people is letting them be who they are without fear of being harmed for just existing. No one chooses to be trans. I've always found it odd that gay or bi people could be so hateful to trans people. Considering they too are part of a group of 'not normal' people who have been (in the past and in some parts of the world) treated as if they are mentally ill and had government try to wipe them out and doctors to cure them. Hell if you're bisexual you have to deal with bi erasure and both some gay and straight people claiming you fake it for attention.

already said, I can barely remember names of acquaintances and then you blather that I should have to remember the pronouns  people I just meet.  NOPE.  Sorry, YOU are the center of the universe.  How arrogant to think I would even remember you.

And stop being fraudulent, using the latin meaning of prefixes.  Cisgender is a made up word instead of NORMAL.  No is assigned gender at birth.  You mean a medically trained doctor saw you had girl or boy bits and said their sex was male or female.  It's called observational science, I know you people don't like actual testable science and go on the feels.  So, NOPE.

And NOPE, mental delusions should not be encouraged.  Anyone who denies reality has a mental delusion.  So anorexic people is the PERFECT example.  And no help for a anorexic involves psychological therapy.  You try to confuse things by false analogies to other mental illnesses.  Those two are NOT the same.  The first two is a disbelief in  very specific reality aka sex or being fat, schizophrenia is a much broader and more serious thing.

Sorry, comparing being gay and trans are totally different things. First no one is born trans or gay, these are acquired traits.  Homosexuality is an attraction, its not a delusion of reality.  And yeah you can start and stop being gay.  Hate to tell you, had many gay friends I was surprised fathered children after knowing them as gay for years with WOMEN they DATED, eww. XD  Look at all the lesbians who "convert" in their old age.  I have my own theories on that about sexual orientation in general, that your first sexual experiences define your sexuality.  This can be actual sex or fantasies.  My brother still goes for the type of the first person he had sex with, skinny blonde women with big 80s hair.  Its very odd to see and I havent told him about it.  Also just random surveys among gay friends, at least 1/3rd were sexually abused by older males as kids, so that's their idea of sex formed around as despicable as that sounds.  Not saying everyone raped by a male as a kid turns gay, but a lot of gay people seemed to turn gay because of it.

Also love the accusation *I* am treating trans people like shit.  Prove anyone is doing that.  I'm gayish.  Never met an actual trans person till 2007 and that was a 15 yr old who unfortunately, his only rolemodel was ru paul.  I took him to a gay coffee shop with kids his age hoping to straighten him out but they encouraged it sadly.  Last thing I said to him, please dont cut your dick off.  Also its 40% suicide rate no matter if they transition or not.

Also been listening to a lot of regretful detransition stories, although these started coming out years ago.  First one I heard was a very old man.  I remember the statement, yes I can pay thousands to rebuild my penis, but it will never have any feeling.

Yes sex and gender are not the same.  Sex again is a biological fact.  Gender is a linguistic thing and has no basis in reality.  Tables are not female in spanish speaking countries, nor ships and cars in english speaking ones.

And no, as stated:

But let me educated why we dont want this forced inclusion of YOUR groupd with ours.  As stated, ours is based on attraction.  Yours is based on deluded version of reality where you want us to use forced speech, aka pronouns, even though as I said, you dont know enough grammar to know how pronouns work.  So I will explain like you are an idiot AGAIN since you didnt get it the first time.  You only use pronouns for the most part WHEN YOU ARE NOT AROUND.  You are talking to another person about you.  AND I fucking hate it.  Especially the them thing which is plural and confuses conversation.  AND then trans activists try to marginalize US from our own groups.

In 2016, I asked the question in a journal on FA, where are all these trans people coming from?  I had only known 1 actual trans person in my entire gay life, and drag queens.  It seemed more a career than a lifestyle.  The biggest one in my area at the time was just a guy who dressed like a woman to make money.  He dressed like a man in public.  First time I met him in real life, I didn't recognize him.  Others got breast implants.  The angry trans activists reported me for even daring to ask this question and said I needed to educate myself.  So I did.  Found out very quickly, it was founded by Pedo doctors who were discredited for their idea that gender/sex was a construct.  His case study, Dr. Money, conned parents of a botched circumcision to raise their child as a girl.  After years of indoctrination, the child rebelled in his early teens, and parents rebelled when the doc recommended surgery to turn him into a facsimile of a girl.  He also had him and twin brother engage in mock sexual acts in their preteens and videod it "for science."  So I reported this serious pedo connection and the trans activists complained again and got me banned from FA losing half my artist income.  So fuck trans activists.  No?  Do you understand why we dont want to be associated with pedo people?  If kids can determine their sex and by law force parents to agree or lose their children (do you understand how offensive THAT is? when schools are promoting it without telling parents?)  It's just evil.  No gay person does that, in fact there was a campaign in 70s to prevent gay people from being teachers because they would indoctrinate children.  No one did that.  I have never had a teacher talk about their private lives let alone sex.  Now its common place...that is the reason why all these trans kids are appearing now.

and yeah they were cured, aka 700 kids over 20 years with psychological therapy reverted to believing their birth sex by the main clinic in the world in canada.  Because before schools starting pushing this from grade school, it was a rare thing pushed by some adult.  Similar thing happened when I was a kid of father who wanted a boy and got a girl, making her into a tom boy who liked sports so she could get approval of parentals.  So the clinic says 98% of boys and 80% of girls.  And all of them are case studies.  Around 2000 the trans activists shut him down and got it closed down.

No one, except you is talking about camps.  I am talking about psychotherapy.

and no.  its 40% according to studies., ya know science that thing you like to ignore?  and no, its a higher suicide rate than people in concentration camps in nazi germany when being starved, worked to death, and knowing you are going die.  Dont try to confuse how hopeless these people feel because of your activism.  FOR SHAME.

I think its more likely, not one wants a relationship except marginally with trans people.  Not straight people, not gay people.  Have you considered that?

Evidence trans activists do not support young transition?  so its the straight people doing it?  Lies, I can pull up quotes from T+ groups saying you need to do this, schools have been doing it for years, the gender unicorn.  Told you leaked hospital thing saying they are all in, cuz its $40k surgery and lifelong medication cha ching.

and no, stop lying.  Most of the detrans movement ranges from very old people to 20s that they regretted the most getting the surgery that disfigured them, lost sexual feeling and medical implications.  These are heartfelt confessions where they get attacked by the activists as traitors.

so here are some of them:  https://youtu.be/pzgohkz22Fg
https://youtu.be/IawS_e36ZnM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TS1sgrVrET0

ignore them as you will, because of your "cause" which is why I despise the trans people as a gay person.

In junior high school we had a band teacher who was popular, though I never had him.  (I was with the glee club though.)  Years later someone in the school reportedly had AIDS, but they wouldn't say who.  Yes, it was that teacher and he died from it.  But I doubt anyone in school knew he was gay, at least not the students.  I hated the idea of concealing his identity, because I can imagine how it would have been among the students, with pranks such as, "Hey, Phil, that gym towel's got AIDS on it!  Tee-hee!"  Yes, even years ago I've heard of people changing genders, but I assumed it was for physical rather than psychological reasons.  I admit I disliked the "Arthur" cartoon episode where his teacher marries a man to everyone's surprise.  Mainly because since when do teachers invite their students to such personal events?

One thing you forgot to mention is how there are drugs meant to delay the onset of adolescence in children.  I could imagine their growing up to be permanently damaged adults.
Yiffox
3 years, 9 months ago
very much so.  Infertility is a common thing.  Surgery is even worse. If they want to do this as adults, it on them, but adults pressuring kids to get surgery and drugs, thats child abuse.
Yiffox
3 years, 9 months ago
except the suicide rate does not change.  Pre-2000 you could get psychology help, basically to find out which adult forced you into this belief as is the usual case.  Nowadays, its school offering praise and preying on autistic kids.  By the way, pre2000, psychologists cured 98% of trans male kids and 80% of trans female (talking about birthed male or female not your definitions.)  Usually by identifying which adult made you dress like the other sex.

Sex is biological, Gender is a linguistics term picked up by radical communists.  So your table is not female, nor your car or ship, but they are pretty girls, right?

and the idea that teens would get surgery to "fix" their mental image causing infertility, cancers, irreversible harm...that's just sad.  Increasing amounts of teens are coming forward denouncing these practices they were coerced into.  Just watched a 21 year old female lamenting her trans surgery after a college level course of mother-baby bonding, that she will never experience that which her children due to breast removal surgery which left her disfigured.

There is my vast disapproval of medical system here, for profit things, rather than help or cure they want you on lifelong treatments and expensive drugs and surgery.  There was leaked video of woman just 2 months ago...our hospital can get $40k for surgery and lifelong income stream from these kids.  That sounds humane.

You never know.  Dana Simpson, who used to draw the Ozy and Millie webcomic and now draws Phoebe and her Unicorn, told me she was fine after she had surgery.

And in the 1980's it was about being merely androgynous.
Yiffox

I'm mostly talking about children who get suckered into this by people wanting that $40k in money in surgery and lifelong medications.  As I said 98% cure rate for male children and 80% for females before 2000 when trans activists shut them down.  It's ALWAYS sadly about the money tho.
AVeryOddBear
3 years, 9 months ago
I wouldn't trust the idea they were 'cured'. How many people were 'cured' by gay reeducation camps? Unless you're refering to people who at a young age thought they were trans then discovered they weren't which is pretty unfair, it's like claiming most gay people discover they aren't gay because straight people in college may experiment.

Also suicide rate not changing is a blatant lie. It is still higher than the average person, which can you blame them? We don't constantly try to explain away your identity and claim you aren't real. Also in the vast majority of cases teens (unless you mean 18 to 19), can't get reassignment surgery or even hormones. The rare cases that do happen are child abuse. But once someone is 18+ it's their own choice to get on hormone therapy.

Most actual trans people do not support people making these massive changes at a young age because you need to be mentally sound before you can make that choice, along with being mentally mature. If other factors can be ruled out then transitioning can happen. I'm 100% sure I am trans but I am not able to start transitioning until my depression is under control, just incase depression is causing identity issues (along with the mood shifts you get from hormone therapy potentially making things worse). They very rarely just give away estrogen and testosterone on a whim.
AVeryOddBear
3 years, 9 months ago
Forgot to add this on. Just incase it's brought up the statistic of people 'detransitioning' before that gets brought up. Was horribly done. It's based on if anyone ever stopped taking hormones for any period of time. Which, could be for the following reasons and more. Being in an unsafe living condition, not having money to pay for hormone therapy, being put off it due to medical issues, not being on the right hormone treatment, and more. As a result, the statistic is REALLY unreliable as most people who go on hormone therapy may need to try another method of getting said hormones, or may have to briefly stop due to any number of reasons, then they get slapped into the detransitioned statistic REGARDLESS of if they continue or not. This would be like saying 90% of depressed people stop taking antidepressants.

So how did you react to the links Yiffox presented?  These are people who say they regret the idea of having tried to transition period, not complaining that they haven't got their hormone supply.  And there are people who purposely stop taking certain medications due to undesirable side effects.  For example, a heart medication might make you tired.  (Happened to the late Cyril Kornbluth.)  May I ask anyone's medical background on this thread?
AVeryOddBear

Oh I mostly didn't notice the comment responses because I thought this thread ended.
There is really no debating with Yifffox, he seems to be coming from a place of hate. Plus saying some people de transition to say trans people as a whole are invalid and don't exist doesn't work. Along with using the same well trod over points that people far more qualified than us have already disprove them.

He's been disrespectful to me and I've not attempted to be disrespectful to him. If he's just going to be hateful and angry then there is no constructive discussion that could be made.

An addition I didn't watch the videos as I do not trust this guy. I would not like to be IP logged by someone who admits to despising trans people for no real reason.

In addition the argument of 'trans people are deranged and need treatment to fix that' is unfounded as so far I've not seen any reputable therapy try to 'cure' trans people. Probably because it'd do immense damage mentally, and there are countries that have agreed that it's abusive for them to do that.
LongTom
3 years, 9 months ago
The fact that lobotomies proved to be a medical mistake the doesn't cure mental illness doesn't mean that mental illness is not a problem.  And the links did depict people who tried to transition before reaching adulthood and regretting it afterward due to physical damage.  Some people who commented on the videos indicated that they have gender dysphoria and willingly admit that that is a problem.  Who wants a condition that requires major surgery to make them feel better?

Yiffox may be rude, but I find he makes valid points-certainly about parents and medical people who made underage children "transition" when they are mentally too young to make those decisions for themselves.  Dana Simpson who I mention was well into adulthood when she transitioned-and she managed to keep her former gay lover as a husband.  Just because some people luck out does not mean everybody does.

I've never argued that children should transition.
Children if they think they are trans should still have support. But they should only have it through therapy. If they need it. Though in most places children can't transition. I was not feeling safe to click on the links that guy sent but if it's about people who transitioned before being an adult. They do not fit into MOST people's experiences. We shouldn't bar adults from transitioning and start trying to remove parts of their personhood. I've never argued for or advocated children being allowed to medically transition.

Adults can't even transition without being considered mentally sound, which means there is no other mental problems that could be causing this problem. Though not everyone needs surgery, surgery is very invasive, hell not even do everyone need hormones.

I honestly do not know how, nor where do people go to get hormones before the age of 18. Because 1) children aren't able to consent to life changing things like that. 2) You require a YEAR of 'living' as your gender. Which means publicly using those pronouns and living in a way you consider to be associated to that gender. Atleast, and 3) Doctors are really hesitant to even try hormone therapy.

Though it's hard to trust what Yifffox says, as he outwardly said he despises trans people. That's not someone arguing reason if they hate the group of people. Though I never am in support of medical transitioning for people under the age of 18. I'd argue that you should be 21 plus because you brain is not even fully devolved at 21. Medical transitioning shouldn't be taken lightly. Social transitioning, just getting people to respect your name, pronouns, and presenting yourself as your gender, and overall trying to live as who you are. That should always be done first before medical attempts are made.

The argument is getting so muddy I no longer know what this discussion is fully about other than vaguely being about trans folk. If the argument is trans people are deranged then it's weird that the medical community supports people transitioning so readily. If the argument is they aren't real, or are some recent fad, we have ARCHEOLOGICAL EVIDENCE AGAINST TRANS PEOPLE BEING 'NEW' (it is a little arguable but it was someone determined to be biologically male, buried with a padded vest with nipples drawn on, which seemed to be padded to be like breasts if this was just their fetish or whatever why are they buried with it? There is also cultural evidence like Hawaiians and native Americans believing in other genders.). Is the argument are trans people valid? In which case i don't think we can have a debate on that. As that is entirely opinion. An opinion that atleast yiff fox is against and is belligerent towards.

The medical community generally agrees on how to treat trans folk yet a bunch of random people think they know so much better. Why do people think if we just abuse trans people they'll stop being trans? No one wants to be trans. No one wants to be gay, no one wants to be 'othered'. It isn't a choice and people in the field of mental health understand they can't erase being trans. But they do understand that various things can effect one's identity before being trans and GENERALLY they try to find that out and treat it before any medical intervention.

But if this argument is just, should kids be allowed to medically transition than no. But there is so many trans phobic talking points that get trod over, again, and again, and again. Trans people exist, some have mental illness, some of it is unrelated to being trans, some contributes to it. Though some trans people DONT have mental illness. I don't even know what the argument is anymore

Children have their stages.  I haven't raised them but I know.  I do not know Yiffox's background or medical expertise, but I know he has his suspicions of medicine and the medical establishment.  I just work in a medical X-ray machine factory as a test technician, ha-ha.  I have only layman's knowledge of medicine though.

I have read in The New Yorker magazine about parents giving children puberty-blocking medicine.  My own opinion is, bad idea.  Also my late aunt, who worked as a doctor's receptionist, said that doctors don't know, they can goof, and there is no such thing as minor surgery.  I agree and Yiffox undoubtedly would.  He did point out that transgender surgery can go wrong.

As for "other genders", there might be cultures which have those.  But I believe it is superstition or religion rather than real science.  For example, a newly crowned Japanese emperor is supposed to temporarily transform into a woman.
AVeryOddBear
3 years, 9 months ago
My mentioning for cultural evidence of trans people is more so mentioned because Yifffox treated being trans as if it was this new craze or fad. It was a thing that existed as long as humans did.

Also i never said 'minor surgery'. Trans people do not always require surgery to deal with their issues. There isn't 'tiers' to transitioning but to make it simple. There is social transitioning which can be just name and pronoun changes, or even just pronoun changes, to make up/clothing/packers/binders/padded bras or any number of non medical methods. Then HRT hormone replacement therapy (which could include puberty blockers but they shouldn't be used in my opinion). Then the most extreme is surgical methods. Which isn't always reassignment surgery it could be cosmetic. The first category is the one i think people below 18 should be allowed to do.

Also all surgeries can go wrong no reason to ban them. We shove one of the most deadly poisons known to man into middle aged woman's cheeks and no one is in uproar over that, or whatever the point is of saying it can go wrong is. Routine surgeries can go wrong. The best doctor fixing a broken rib could kill someone because there was some random unknown allergy.

And again I do not support the medical transitioning of minors. Social transitioning is fine because like. It hurts no one. Except the pride of parents who refuse to believe their child is trans.
