Here's a little tip for the unenlightened. Sofurry used to be Yiffstar, until they were trying to move away from the 'porn' focus and wanted to be a more general 'writing site'. To this end things like FA and other sites popped up to pick up the artist slack that SoFurry had switched focus from. The reason the site chose to do this now is because they are becoming more and more hard on websites that fall under 'we don't like this because god said so' with stuff like FOSA and idiocy like that. Basically they are nipping it in the bud, otherwise you'd have no website to post to period, as there would be a huge 'takedown' page there instead if anyone who looked at the person who hosts this server with any kind of forensic analysis. Same reason why Hexxy had to give f-list to Varka, because pay providers are very iffy on anything that could be seen as illegal, so Hexxy was going through less reputable channels since no one would help him, and Varka went 'free' on the site.

I know this, as I've had an account longer then inkbunny has existed. Why do you think when you look at my sofurry account it straight up says no age for the account, it just says 'long time'. SoFurry/YiffStar was the second major furry website I found, the first being the now defunct furnation, in 98, when I found the fandom actually had a name.

Nice to see other folks who remember yiffstar :D It was mostly writing, as well as a fairly large and popular chatroom back in the day. (back then you had either yiffstar, furrotic dreams, or found an AoL chatroom) I had a bunch of things uploaded, but over the years of them switching servers and whatnot, they sorta disappeared. :/
