Fall 2017 Anime (that I am checking out) First Impression Part 2

a new day, 6 more animoos, if you missed the last one i did it can be found -> https://inkbunny.net/j/293409-NaumWolf-fall-2017-anime-...

GARO -VANISHING LINE- - Highly advanced town - Russel City. While people enjoy its prosperity in the town, there is a huge conspiracy secretly going on which will shake the world. Sword, a man who notices its movement determines to throw himself into battles and reveal the conspiracy, but only to find a clue - "Eldorado". At that time, Sword happens to meet a girl Sophie who has been looking for the meaning of "Eldorado", a message left by her missing brother. These two, attracted by the word "Eldorado", somehow feel invisible ties each other and start to act together. Their journey with mixed feelings now begins.

I quite like this one. it has style, the music really works with the visuals and whats happening at the time they're playing. the world is interesting enough and i'm curious to see what happens further on in the series. Monster designs are quite neat as well. I say give it a go if you like actiony animes that may or may not end up being gory. Not sure to what level its going to be gory, just a waning for potential gore. Only other complaint i might have is that some of the action pats are a little too fast, and done a bit too close to the action so its a little had to tell whats going on.

URAHARA - Harajuku...The place where culture, kawaii, and fashion come together. Three high school girls Rito, Mari, and Kotoko are planning to open a temporary store called Park. One day, aliens from space come to Earth to take away the culture of humans. That’s when a mysterious girl who calls herself Misa appears. Now, in order to protect the Harajuku that they love, these three girls must be prepared for anything!

First off, the at style on this one is interesting, but not in a bad way. its different than what has sort of become the de-facto standard for the way animation looks like in anime currently. its quite bright and colorful, but not so much so that it makes your eyes hurt or that you can't tell what the hell is going on. as for the story and how i feel about the over all story... its sort of a magical girl anime... but not? its hard for me to classify it. either way i dunno what the over arching series is going to be about, or if this is just gonna be a sort of "monster of the week" sort of anime, or if the aliens from the first episode are going to be a season long threat or whatever. either way, i enjoyed it for what it was, even though i kinda dunno what the fuck was going on. I did enjoy it though. I will say, however, that the talking fried shrimp is sort of annoying. Either way i'm going to keep watching it.

JUNI TAISEN:ZODIAC WAR - The record of the bloody battle between the twelve proud warriors— The 12th Twelve Tournament that gets held every twelve years… Twelve brave warriors who bear the names of the signs of the zodiac fight each other for the lives and souls. The participants are twelve very strange warriors: “Rat,” “Ox,” “Tiger,” “Rabbit,” “Dragon,” “Snake,” “Horse,” “Goat,” Monkey,” “Rooster,” “Dog,” and “Pig.” The victor of this tournament gets to have one wish granted, whatever the wish may be. The one wish they want granted— Who will be the final survivor?

This ones quite interesting as well. the character designs are interesting and the characters themselves seem to have personality. it is, yet another "death game" sort of anime, but we shall see. the characters and setting are enough to make me come back for another episode or two or three. we shall see, as of right now I'm interested.

Black Clover - In a world where magic is everything, Asta and Yuno are both found abandoned at a church on the same day. While Yuno is gifted with exceptional magical powers, Asta is the only one in this world without any. At the age of fifteen, both receive grimoires, magic books that amplify their holder’s magic. Asta’s is a rare Grimoire of Anti-Magic that negates and repels his opponent’s spells. Being opposite but good rivals, Yuno and Asta are ready for the hardest of challenges to achieve their common dream: to be the Wizard King. Giving up is never an option!

right off the jump one of the main chaacters is... really shrill and annoying. the voice actor's voice is... VERY grating, the world its set in is interesting... but fuck me i really hate the way one of these chaacters talks and the way he acts... and i'm pretty sure he's supposed to be the main character which makes me really not want to watch this anime.... the tone of this anime is all over the place too. it goes from really serious to slap stick bullshit in an instant. its rather offputting. I'm going to give this one more episode to see if the annoying as fuck screeching of the main character stops... but if it keeps up i'm giving up on this one

SENGOKU NIGHT BLOOD - One day, Yuzuki is enveloped by a mysterious light suddenly emanating from her cell phone and finds herself in an unfamiliar place. The scenery spread out before her almost resembles Sengoku period Japan-- But this is another world known as "Shinga" where non-human creatures such as vampires and werewolves reside. Long ago, the various tribes of Shinga lived together peacefully under the protection of the Himemiko who possessed special blood. However, one day the Himemiko suddenly vanished. With the protection of the Himemiko gone, the world has fallen into a period of strife

Having only a passing knowledge of Japanese history, the impact is sort of lost on me when they keep announcing, who i assume are, important historical Japanese figures. I have seen enough anime to know who Nobunaga is though. However, it does have werewolves in it, which are quite attractive. these are the sort of werewolves that have ears and tails but look human otherwise art is good, and i'm always a fan of these sorts of military/war/action type anime. the story seems to be the usual fair for this sort of anime, but I'll continue watching it anyway because i enjoy this sort of thing... plus sexy werewolf mens :D also has a cute talking tanuki... or tiger thing or.. something. the lead female character calls him a tanuki even though he says he isn't one... so iono

The Ancient Magus' Bride - Chise Hatori, 15 years old. Lost, without hope, and without family, she is bought for money – not by another person, but by a non-human sorcerer named Elias. Though she hesitates, she begins life anew as his apprentice and future wife. She moves on with her new and peaceful life, slowly but surely, until one day, when she finds a Japanese picture book among the many sent to her from London by Angelica. It is a fateful book that discovered her in her younger years, when she was still troubled and lonely. This piece is a prequel to Chise’s encounter with the Thorn Sorcerer.

Let me start this off by saying that I absolutely loved the OVA that they had before the anime officially started this fall. On several occasions it maked me get quite emotional, Even giving me a lump in my throat several times. The art is beautiful, the music wonderful, and the world it built made me want to get stuck in and really experience the story they wanted to tell.... plus the man who does Elias' voice is just... unf that voice.... Anyway, the series is looking like its going to be just as good as the OVA was, so i'm all over it. As for the OVA, it looks like the OVA happens sometime during the series, timeline wise, but it also gives some backstory as to why Chise is how she is at the very beginning of the series. if anyone's going to watch this, watch the OVA first then the series.

whelp, thats it for what i've chosen, if anything gets added on later, i will make a third journal about whatever i pick up.
