Another thing to add to my submission blocked list

'Decided to add people that I find out are on the DNP list on e621 and other places (e621 is just the main one I visit most of the time) to my submission blocked list. This is actually all thanks to Sanae since I wanted to upload something he did, and noticed he was actually on the DNP list, then remembered that he boohooed a long time ago about e621, prompting me to unwatch him, unfaving everything I faved from him and submission blocking him in a flash.
To simply put, if your art is being shown publicly, the only reasons you can come up with for them to be DNP are either because you can't moderate the comments here or because you think by having your art uploaded here, you're getting your views lowered on your main gallery, because obviously giving the artist more reach to potential watchers is an obvious way to hinder your current fanbase. Those reasons are simply completely dumb and stupid, and I am not going to support any artists that don't have in mind to share their art with people.

So in short, here's the non exhaustive list of people I submission block since :

- People who mainly post stuff they didn't touch at all AKA commission druggies (I tolerate people who actually draw and do that at the same time, to a maximum of 50/50 ratio)
- Artists who use Patreon as a paywall and/or use obnoxious ways to make people pay on their Patreon (Annoying watermark, those "PLZ GO ON MY PATREON" on every submission they post)
- People that are DNP on e621 and potentially other booru places I happen to notice

Why is this personal decision of yours worth shouting at the general public?

You imply that these actions of yours in some way harms or damages the targets in the hope that they may "learn a lesson" and do the right thing. They don't. Few artists are motivated by attention and fame, and the ones that are motivated thusly, will not notice your lack of presence so long as there are folks willing to supply that presence.

...Still, you think that blocking/unfaving has some kind of value, so I shall practice your methods upon you right now so that I may be spared your self centered, inane vitriol in the future.

Pretty sure you had nothing faved that was made by me anyway, and as those artists would probably feel about me, guess what, pretty sure they won't mind that at all, and that's all good. How you bring that "Not motivated by attention" and how I'm self-centered are pretty funny since their main reasons for not wanting their stuff elsewhere are because they can't tolerate the comments/scores they happen to get over e621 and because they think that's going to make their own gallery less viewed, You maybe should look at that journal Ohmuu did about that and how many people told him that's how they were able to watch him on FA, by first seeing his comics on e621, but nope, hindering his business apparently.

If you can't stand people that are not afraid to be open and share their opinion then be my guest, ignore everything that I say, that's fine by me, I'm not going to cry because I hurt someone's feelings by sharing my thoughts. While you do that I will continue my quest to find actually decent artists that don't need to chain their work to their legs in case they get a mean comment on it

Looks like you mixed up the fact that I submission block and do not block people at all. I tend not to block people just because others tend to have different values on what's considered good morality or not. You should revise these methods of yours, because it doesn't seem like you used them well here

I seen a couple drawings of mine on rule34 and e621, Personally it never bothers me. If anything I'm quite amazed they wanna showcase such bad art X3

Let’s just say submission block is useful as you’re not blocking the person but you’re hiding their works! So the artist can’t tell if they are blocked. *Also yea I can agree that people’s reading including mine can be a hit and miss! Like sometimes I may not understand everything right away! I may need to read multiple times.

Inkbunny has some good settings and that’s why I use it! Block guests (my personal favorite), tag block, submission block, hide faves, etc!

Also works posted on e621 can sometimes automatically be reposted on rule34 by bots. I actually used to use e621, had two of my works from e621 reposted to r34 by bots which I’m not very happy with. Though there is a fix by putting the tag conditional_dnp to prevent new works being reposted. Though still I deleted all my works off of e621 and I put ALL my users on the DNP list including my generals and older users! 👍 I also got the works partially taken down of r34 (though it’s still up on US) but I don’t really worry too much now^^;

I apologize if this comment doesn’t completely make sense to the journal.

I still am a bit outspoken about artists who are very selfish with their art, but I did mellow down over time. This stems from my personal view that I when I draw art, I do it with the intent that everyone can see it, so whenever I see someone limiting their reach to their art, typically for very selfish reasons like wanting higher stats on their account thinking reposts lowers views to their main gallery, it doesn't sit well with me

There is the other camp I would label as "insecure people" where they do not want their art shared, typically because they don't like having their art edited, or lose a sense of control over their art, which ironically most of the time is porn of a well known franchise. I'm sure they themselves asked for permission to draw dicks on characters they do not own

For your case, I would simply suggest you to really not care that much about the art being reposted. You always have the option to use an alias for your explicit art. I personally don't understand how having the art there is bad while your art is still there available elsewhere. Nuking your art from everywhere was something kind of extreme to do for what happened

My NSFW artwork is even less accessible now…
All R18s are taken down on Pixiv. And my NSFW are privatized on IB. Though can be viewed via Friend request.
I also do NSFW Twitter. Which is a private alt and requests follow to view.

I am doing this as I now want it more as a secret. As of how controversial the themes I do of NSFW is… Underaged characters and animal genitalia. Oh yea, you can try to defend such as saying that they don’t do it real life or there’s no real victim however these crazy users, antis, and minors still pedo shame these artists who draw this stuff… Though I wish it was more tolerable… I still post this stuff on IB because I can and that’s the community! (Cub porn) Though the same with Pixiv but I decided to take down my R18 is that I’m lazy to post anything there, I may forget to censor as I’m now NOT used to it, and rarely any interaction, mostly views… Though I do appreciate the higher demand of faves of NSFW!

Inkbunny is my favorite NSFW site as the privacy settings. And that’s it’s Cub friendly~
So basically I’m only posting NSFW where I can control who sees it basically!

Oh yea, and ofc I wouldn’t be attacked here, like come on. But I do worry sometimes that if someone who knows I am SFW and found out I do NSFW of this kind now, Id be shamed… called out, hated! Etc… So now it’s a secret and shouldn’t be told outside this site. My general sites are hidden too off of IB just in case aswell, only my NSFW Twitter is listed. Also about reposting I now somewhat allow it as long as it’s only on this site (nowhere else), guests blocked, and only if it’s trade/request/gift Art from me. And credit. Also some of my lower quality NSFW are fully nuked on IB and only kept owed art and good and favorite ones. I also nuked G rated art there. I did recently get all my trades reposted too on IB by someone who I traded multiple times, they asked first and followed the criteria so I didn’t bother too much though I wish it was in one and not all separate. (I could ask them to have it in one)

Hopefully this makes sense. Also something to note you can draw whatever you want as long you’re doing no real harm to a specific person or animal. Though ofc a large part of the community doesn’t agree to this.  Though now this privacy thing makes sense. Also I post things nearly SFW for general w/o ever mentioning about NSFW I do! I want to be a mostly SFW person! But I also find some of this lewd cute and adorable but should be aware.

Also yea I tried out e621 and wasn’t completely aware during that time. It did get higher faves than on IB but the site wasn’t as friendly for everyone including downvotes so I left. And also added myself in DNP. Also during that time I posted my NSFW in more places, but now it’s restricted. In fact, they must find a NSFW acc of me themselves and follow or friend me there. I won’t even say I do NSFW unless there’s evidence that they like it. To protect myself. As the theses are controversial. Also at least the works reposted to R34 are credited w my NSFW user. And partially taken down though it’s still on the US version as it asks extra information which I don’t feel ready yet to enter…

I also used FA for NSFW, but left as I want to change my user, I was abused. (By a minor, though unlikely for the art I did. Trolling)  but I don’t even post that art as it wasn’t allowed. I have some plans for coming back but if so, it’ll be SFW or maybe suggestive or questionable adult chars at most. Though also not very fun.

That is how I expected the situation to have unfold. While it's still on the side of insecurity, it has nothing to do with you wanting to gain more and isn't what I would call a stupid reason unlike the multiple other artists I usually think about in these situations. However by taking everything down you are letting those people win in the long run. You will always have people not liking what you're doing, and especially a lot of people who love to project their own insecurities unto others. You are giving them too much power that way and in the long run always run away the moment some negativity appears is not going to do yourself any favor

In short, I recently make my NSFW less accessible now due to things I hear and came across of the themes I do to protect my general from being attacked. (New reason for no reposting ig?)
It’s now only accessible thru here w a friend request or NSFW Twitter thru a follow.

Yea and I shouldn’t worry too much anyways now.
