New Year and Resolution

Hello Inkbunny,

Happy new years, how have you all been? Personally I would like to apologize for my lack of activity these past couple of years, you guys deserve better. that is why beginning Tuesday, December 30, I will be posting an image on a bi-weekly biases.

After much refinement and some new equipment  I believe my artistic skills are at a level that will allow me to accomplish this resolution. I do want to stress that though my skills in general have improved, my capacity for coloring leaves to be desired for. As such I will be posting line art and an attempted cell-shad version with each of my posts. I hope you'll bare with me on this path and look forward to any and all constructive criticism you may have for me.

On a side note, I am still experimenting with animations but I have hit a snag, due to real life responsibilities I have had almost no time to learn Action Script 3. So I would very much appreciate if anyone would care to assist me with coding in the meantime.

Finally the statues of the request journal, it remains open and valid. These I will attempt to do at least at around monthly intervals, and as of December 30, will no longer do fan character for request; only official ones. This does not apply to request left in the comments prior to December 30, 2014.

I would also like your opinions on whether or not my art is at a stage where I would be worth commissioning.

Thank  you all for your time and support. I will earn the watches that the Inkbunny community has given me and will do right by them, this is my resolution to you.

Lets have a great year,
SRF

Hello SlyRedFox!

It's been a good year - we just raised over $10,000 for our hosting. And don't worry, we all have quiet times.

Colouring isn't worth stressing about - it's nice to have (especially as there are those willing to pay for it), but what's most important from an artistic perspective is to get the lines and underlying anatomy spot-on. If you want to improve there, keep looking at real animals (or pictures and videos of them) to see how they work.

With commissions, perhaps the best way is to offer them and see if anyone actually asks for one. Try not to take on too many at once, as they may take longer than requests, and you have to handle payment, etc.

A happy New Year to you, and thanks for sharing your art with us!

Your art is definitely commissionable, and I'd be interested in hearing what prices you have planned. >:3

Thank you for your interest, I do have ideas for pricing, but I'm still working on a system
