Island got off the school bus and quickly made his way down the sidewalk home. His father, Milano waited for the little otter outside their home. He noticed that the otter had a piece of paper in his little paws.
“What you got there, champ?” The ocelot says with a warm smile.
“I passed my test today, Daddy!” he said holding out the test paper. “See I got a B+ on my German test!”
Milano smiled and knelt down to pat his charge on the head.
“Das ist Wunderbar kleine otter” Milano says before standing up. “Maybe someday soon you’ll understand what I’m saying when you’re in trouble, haha.”
Island blushed at the thought and knew exactly what his father meant by those words. Still the little otter was happy with his grade and the praise.
