Always thought that was a horrible name. But since she was a background pony, all of that was basically not about her. Just going with it as it presented now, I'm quite certain that Minuette would get the most attention no matter what. She's given more character than Twinkleshine and Lemon Hearts, and, besides being featured more prominently, also has a lot of 'cute' touches. Certainly that undercover mission by itself would've done the trick! :D

Mm yea, that's true. I never understood Colgate as a name, her name was always Minuette according to Hasbro. I do think Moon Dancer will get a bit of fan art, though Minuette did have more screen presence... though one thing in the episode I wonder... how in the heck did Lemon Heart's head get stuck in that beaker! :O

Also, for that consideration, I didn't include Moon Dancer. She's obviously a main focus, but not so much a part of the friends group (certainly not for the thrust of the story), so I basically just considered those three.

Actually the scanner's exposure made it quite a different beast than this. I had to apply the usual shadows/highlights filter to recreate the contrast and darkness. So, perhaps it's really that I apply very light washes of paint. One of the best watercolour painters I've seen practically uses a dozen times the paint I do. Additionally, I've been given some sample sheets with my primer two years ago - they have those little spots of paint on them - and I still use them.
