Nickname(s)
Patch, Jeeves, Oak, Other less flattering names
Sex/Gender
Male
Species
Feline Moggy with British Shorthair Heritage
Age
varies on story and art, typically 14 -15
Personality
Its is said "No Man Is an Island" however Jay Oaker makes a reasonable attempt to be Château d'If. Surprisingly jaded for his age he tends to be respectful but distant with those he interacts with but quickly gets frustrated with the foolish or inconsiderate taking steps to avoid these people in the future.

Partly steming from been bullied while young and been taken advantage of through his naivety but also by the fact that in his teens he has never stayed in one place for too long. When online he is very social with text but suffers from an inability to communicate clearly at times that leads him to be a wallflower in large social gatherings but if someone gets through the façade of grumpiness through e.g  similar interests he is a loyal friend to the end.

While rather rough and tumble in his early youth the tendency for dust and dirt to stick in his fur means that he tries to avoid messy activities and unlike his hair he keeps his fur well groomed as a matter of pride.

Background/History
Born in South Yorkshire was the first child born in his generation of his family, he was raised near his grand parents in the inner city, his young parents both in their early twenties working long shifts to pay for the little they had. Been unable to spend much time with him his parents often tried to make up for this by buying Jay various toys and gifts and as a result he was rather spoilt by his family in his early years and was somewhat of a brat.

Jay was sent to a primary school that was outside of his inner city area as his parents wanted him to have the best chance for his education, while he performed well in class though occasionally had issues in communicating clearly which made him somewhat reluctant to speak out and occasionally caused him frustration.
Also Jay as the only child not from the local area (of the school) was singled out by bullies which more often than not led to violent confrontation which Jay who was rather strong and big for his age came out the victor. However this only made things worse as his reputation for been short tempered fuelled further teasing or made the other children ignore and avoid him, thankfully several of his teachers tried to help by giving him lessons on how to control his anger with varying levels of success.

As he grew older and exposure to the surrounding poverty of his area Jay began to realise the sacrifices his parents made for his upbringing and just how better off he was than most of the other kids in the area. Behaving better at home he began to ask his parents not to get him presents and tried to act charitable with the other kids on his street, unfortunately this only serve to alienate him further as the other kids mistook his attempts as showing off that he was the rich kid of the area and in a few cases some took advantage to steal from him.
Miserable, jaded and pretty much friendless apart from a handful of acquaintances Jay threw himself into his hobbies, meanwhile his parents had improved their lot considerably and while concerned with their son were not sure how to deal with his situation.

The big upheaval in his life began when his father became seriously ill and began suffering from chronic fatigue Syndrome, unable to support the family in her current position his mother transferred department within the company she was within.
With her new position she was required to travel to areas of interest for the company for months at a time, able to claim she was the acting carer for her husband she managed to also have housing provided as part of her contract.

Since then Jay has travel to and throughout America and has change school four times as the company moves his mother to a new location, while his father has recovered somewhat he still lacks the health to hold a full time job and often performs short term tutoring for adult though the time at home has led to him and Jay bonding over Hong Kong Action films and video games.
