You know what pleases me most about the creation of this character? She's a milkweed bug, and they -actually- can have that pattern on their back. Here, look! A naturally occurring heart pattern. That makes me happy.
Milly is another one of my
fan characters.
A student reporter, horn bug and a bit of an exhibitionist. Also a thrill seeker, within reason. A strangely contrasting daring scaredy cat, in the way that she realizes with mirth how far in she is in over her head only when it's too late. At the point you have to laugh and roll with it. She had quite a bit of terror-fun reporting on the invasion of Locksmouth. XD
Oh wow, she's super cute! I love how the light plays across her hair, the cracks on the window wells, and how her eyes are ever so slightly shadowed. (Is that a term? hell if I care XD). Lighting on the ground looks really good too!

Thank you! I actually started her out with grey hair, but the more I went along the less it fit, so I had to entirely recolor and re-shade her hair. I'm glad the second run went well enough to warrant commenting on. =)

Thanks! Must be something in the abdominal genetic translation to humans. (A little like Nori mentioned with tails and boy butts.) Kinda funny to think that she's more often behind the lens than not.

Well, to be fair, the standard of beauty in 2541 is a super high bar! Outward appearance is easier than ever to manipulate thanks to advanced metabolism and other anatomical features. She may be behind the lens a lot, but from what I gather I don't think attractive models are in rare supply. She's just sharing the spotlight. With everybody.

Oh man, I totally didn't see that you finished this!
Well first off, she remains as fun and flirty as I remember, and the clean lines do a lot for it. She's appropriately poured into her pants, and this is a great example of capitalizing on the Z axis for great depth of... character. :>
Secondly, I love the background, it's got so much character! Some combination of modernity and masonry. Simple, but very nice.
And third, you were totally right on all the calls you made regarding her colors. She genuinely looks like what she's supposed to be, her hair is a good color and style to complement that, and her eyes are very pretty. You could say I'm... buggin' out. B)

Yeah, I entirely redrew her lower half. Because the sketch was so long ago there were some physical alignment problems that were solved by drawing her body through the jacket. Thank you, Sai. Also her old butt was almost container-y.
I'm very happy you like the colors, I had to redo them a few times~ And yeah, thank you Partners for full spectrum bug eyes. XD
