If I were releasing this in monthly comic issues, this would be the last page of the first issue and you'd have to wait an entire month to see what happens next!
Also, while a lot of people got that the raft scene was an Indiana Jones reference, nobody seemed to realize that the 23rd (yesterday) was the 30th anniversary of the release of Temple of Doom, the movie the raft scene was from.
Considering I finished those pages a month or so ago, and they were written last year, I think the timing was pretty spot on.
That's right it was. Probably no one remembered because that while ToD was well done and very good over all it didn't see the wide acceptance the others got cause it was the easily the darkest and least cartoonish in terms of story. I personally liked it and am sorry I forgot it's anniversary. But ya..nice reference and nice lead into this page. Hope to see more soon. :)
