A little thing I did for purplekecleon's Pokemon Mystery Dungeon group over on Deviantart. I'll be participating with this team for now, while using it as a sort of art training exercise. I've already picked up some new tricks.

I'll be posting my progress here too, but for proper details, check my PMD deviantart page, found here. https://chillysundance.deviantart.com/

Any adult artwork related to this project will end up here on inkbunny, just a heads up.

Sure you can! Only two days ago I thought the very same thing. Then I joined this group, studied some of the premier artists hard, and learned a whole bunch of new shading tricks. If you put your mind to it you can surprise yourself.

no you don't need to watch in action, though it helps. It's more about trying to pick out the elements of style that you really like, and figuring out why and how they work. The best way to do this is to experiment on your own - pay close attention to the way your favorite artists handle form, lighting and texture, and figure out how to work it into your own stuff. After a while something usually 'clicks', I find.

L-Little Pachirisu, too.

I sure could go on and on and on and on about this kinda stuff, hahaha

I though the Miltank was Malt for a second, but you drew it really cute regardless!

That pachi might look little, but he's the kind of experienced older guy you want reading you bedtime stories in a sexy baritone and buying you expensive clothing on shopping trips. He knows his stuff.

I gathered as much, but really, that just pushes the cute envelope all the further.  Contrast in such small forms, especially with the very cute Pokemon, is particularly rare, so I -really- like his design.

Yeah, that was one reason I chose a pachirisu for that character. He considers himself almost a father figure to Sundance, but it's awkward because he's only half as tall as the sneasel. So it's like...who's looking after who?
