That's a problem when you make stylistic choices to exaggerate one element for a particular effect of expression; there's always someone who prefers it wasn't so. I personally like the smile to be subtle; her leading mood is one of focus and determination, so I think it's okay if it takes a while to notice she's enjoying that moment of performance.
That's my take on it, anyway, maybe I'll draw smaller tongues next time there's a similar situation on the canvas!
