A long wait but hear it is. hears my contest pic for SaL's Christmas contest that i started all most a month ago. what i decided to go with for a theme is a time less classic.
Sally and Sonic are hard at work wrapping gifts late into the night when sonic decides to give Sally a early gift and pulls a fast but swift move while Sally's back is turned. Sonic says to Sally while her back is turned that he has the next gift to wrap.
Sally turns, looks down and tears start to well up. A Engagement Ring made out of Power Rings and fitted with a Green Chaos Emerald cut into a Princess Cut Fashioned Gem.
The room falls silent with even the sound of burning wood from the fireplace is cut out by what has happened. Sonic holds his hand out to Sally and says Sally your the only one on my mind. I love you and my hart beats for you and for you alone. Sally looks deep into Sonics eyes as Sonic says Sally Will You Marry Me?
Sally breaks into tears and says Yes Ill Marry You~
Their hands intertwining they seal their love with a Passionate Kiss~

I jumped into SaL's contest with the thought that i was way out of my league but as time went by my skills surprised me and improved to meet my needs to take on the challenge i set for me. on more then one occasion i lost my way and my hands and mind stop working with me. my own Artist Block.
I got out of that stat of mind by watching online streams and from their i learned. I learned how to use Adobe CS2 and SAI to my advantage and improve. like most artist i used a lot of Refs but even with the reference pics it was not easy. my biggest challenges where drawing two characters iv never draw before and to draw them at a side view no less was another thing i didn't know how to do. the hands where among my hardships and many more. but with help and advice from fellow IB members i managed to pull it off.
My Thanks goes to SaL for helping me to keep my over all moral up and for sticking with me when times where tough.
My Thanks all so goes to Vixy for her valuable help that resulted in the 1st passionate kiss in my art. She sent me a reference pic that gave me new idea's to help me draw the tender moment you see now.
And finally my Thanks goes to Cassy and her many friends from her online streams. from watching her streams i learned how to add fire to my fireplace and even make it look good and real like. most of what iv learned over the past month i learned watching her streams and from the awesome help of her friends.
On a final note this was by far not easy to pull off and with out the moral boosts and help from every one id surely of fallen short and ended up displeased with my entry pic. it may of been hard to pull off being a noobie artist with only two months experience but in the end i learned a lot, made some friends and had fun doing to. so Win/Lose i had fun and that's all that matters.
