Phil always wanted to play baseball during the summer, but he was at a slight disadvantage - he was far too young to be playing actual baseball. He was still age regressed down to a two year old kit. Therefore, he practiced all day and eventually was able to play a very basic version of baseball, t-ball. But there was one thing that Phil loved to do the most - he always wanted to catch a baseball in midair. Therefore, Matthew and Darren arranged to exchange as pitcher/batter while Phil played the position of outfielder when he wasn't batting.
Now, back to the picture. It was plenty warm out, the time being 7:00 pm. This being said, and because they were in the countryside where no one could see them, Phil was allowed to strip down to his red, white, and blue ribbon t-shirt and geometry-themed diaper, the rest of his clothes laying in a pile near home plate. He still had his brown baseball glove, which was given to him on his birthday, and his green John Deere baseball cap which was flipped backwards. This prompted Phil to say, "Geeks are in!"
Matthew was pitching at the time while Darren was ready to bat with a wooden bat that they had just bought a few months back. Darren stated, "Ready." Matthew threw an underhand pitch down the middle of the plate and as a result, Darren made superb contact with the ball. Line drive. Phil was waiting in the outfield for the ball to get closer. Because he still had his adult mind, he was able to judge the direction and the velocity of the ball. When the ball came closer, he quickly ran (note that his is fast for his age) and dived towards the ball, his left arm stretched out and ready to catch the ball. He grasped the ball in his glove as he came falling towards the ground.
Phil was surprisingly able to keep hold of the ball as he made contact with the ground. If you worried whether Phil got hurt from falling, don't be, because Phil at his age was tougher than most and could take more damage. Plus, the ground was covered in grass. All he got was a small bruise on the side of his leg. Phil was more focused on seeing that he caught the ball and, as a result, he jumped in the air with excitement like the little kid he should be. He had just pulled a tremendous feat.

Hoped you liked the story. I absolutely loved the work nieve nieve did when I saw the finished product after I asked her to do a request playing baseball. She gets an A in my book! You should check her out sometime. (This is from April 5, 2012).
