I have this program called Rebelle which acts like watercolour paint on a canvas.
But, anyway, Rebelle gives you an empty canvas with the choice to paint in watercolour, acrylic, pastel, pencil, ink pen, marker and air brush. You can wet or dry the canvas. The canvas itself reacts like a real canvas would for certain paints.
There is an option in the tilt menu in the program to tilt the canvas and upon doing so any paint you have created on the canvas will run in the direction you set the tilt and the stronger the tilt, the stronger the influence on the paint. You also have and option to wet the paint, dry it, smudge it and even blow it in the direction you want it to go.
But, it does hold a perk over traditional painting in that it has an eraser and you can erase any mistakes in your paintings without damage to anything else that you've made, assuming it's the right layer~
These are the from pastel pallet and it's really calming to watch the paint seep into the canvas in my opinion. But that's just me.
But anyway, If you're interested, why not give it a look.
