"Well, I got my cutie mark in astronomy, specifically the study of the sun... I don't think Princess Celestia wanted me to study her sun because while studying it one day I went blind. Don't tell anypony, but did you know that the sun is actually a big ball of gas and plasma, which makes it a lot lighter than you would think."
(Cutie mark is a note board, with sun on it and a quill. She went blind because she was looking at the sun through a pair of high powered binoculars... She has no idea it was her own mistake that blinded her, but rather thinks that discovering that the sun most likely weighs less than the moon, was the reason that she was blinded, preventing her from continuing her research.)
