Christmas market
This is something I repeat every year.
It's a mexican tradition that I love to share with friends, also with my imaginary friends.

Mexican posadas are parties before christmas, where we sing a traditional song about the journey that Joseph and Mary did to find a good place where giving birth Jesus safe.
With candles and fireworks, the party continued with breaking a piñata, that represents the devil and the seven capital sins (that's why the piñatas has 7 peaks).

I really want to hope to all my watchers, friends and family merry christmas. Have a great time and eat soooo muuuuuch!!!

Characters in this scene are (left to right):
Nemorio (the panda), Julio (the grizzly), Art (the raccoon), Biro (the fox), Roni (the dog), Rocky (the little raccoon that is on Roni's head), and Parinton (the panda).

Traditional. Color pencils.

Oh, hey, a piñata! Just like they had at MFF… well, without the raccoon head, but one is nearby. :-D

There is one character for each sin, too… I wonder what each would be? They seem to be having lots of fun.

Inkbunny's servers are named after the deadly sins. Though we had to add a few more when we ran out.

That is an american piñata XP Original piñatas doesn't have character shapes, just a circle with peaks.
D: It was inadvertently about the 7 characters, OMG we are capital sins!!
That about the Inkbunny's serves is really cool, I didn't have idea about that :D

Posadas are done in my neighborhood here in south central California. I remember as a kid, all of us dumb kids would drip the candle wax on the back of our hands-- I guess we were that bored LOL! This pic would be perfect if it had a squirrel and a skunk as pals-- two critters with big floofy tails make all pics awesome! :-)

I have been to only one Posada. I was a kid and a neighbor family invited mine to participate one year. We sang some, and ate a nice meal. It was quite nice!

Hey. Hehe. This skunk is pals with every one!

Tamales! Lots of various types of Tamales! Likely in the top 5 or top 3 things about a Mexican gathering during the Holidays!

Yes. Those I remember being quite good. Homemade food is the best. Alot of care went in to making them

Winter months brings out all the hot Mexican food- tamales, pozole, menudo, champurrado, atole etc. Summer brings out ice cold horchata and tacos are good all year long :-)  I'm so glad to have a small Mexican eatery just around the corner at the end of the block from me. And there's nearly a dozen taquerias within 1/4 distance from my house. Have a friend who moved out east to Kansas and is hoping to move back west soon-- various reasons, but number 1 on his list is that he so misses Mexican food.

Tamales is the best, I love them. Just yesterday we had a posada here in my house and were many tamales, those were spicy and delicious.

Soy de Guatemala aca las posadas van acompañasas de una procesion iluminada con velas musica echa con chinchines (maracas), caparones viejos de tortugas y falutillas, van de una casa a otra y es como una pequeña fiesta prenavideña.
