When I lived in New Hampshire, I remember watching a very defined cold front move through. Very geekish, I know, but this was probably in 2001, so it must have made a big impression on me to include it in this comic 14 years later.

They're walking southeast, front is coming from the west/northwest. Adam turned around to acknowledge Chucky and saw it, then pointed it out to him.

It can be, depends on the moisture content and stability between the two air masses. New Hampshire was the only place I've lived where I saw things like this, and mostly during the cold months. The really cold dry air would come out of Canada and hit all the damp mild East Coast air.
