You don't need to know: "The Portal of Andonaïs" for this read tough it is a follow up.
This takes place right after part 5 (Who let the dog out). Here we follow the sister Ilanae on her quest to return the wolf to it's rightfull owner.
"Ilanae, get up!" As the first light of the day shines upon the city of Andonaïs, Aeylin is already busy packing her gear. "First thing in the morning you said, the longer you wait the further he'll go."
Ilanae, still rubbing the sleep from her eyes looks anoyed at her sister. 'A whoman needs her beautysleep, you should try it'.
"No time for that nonscene, now get off your lazy ass and move out already. What if my puppy gets hurt? You know how reckless he is, barely knows his own strenght!"
'Fine, don't you have other things to worry about? I told you I'll retrieve the dog, you head for the portal well be done and head back home in no time.'
A hint of frustration strikes across Aeylin's face. "I had to make sure a certain sister wouldn't get to beautifull by sleeping all day".
The next minutes where followed by silence, once they where ready to leave they returned the keys to the Innkeeper and followed seperate ways. Ilanae had been completly oblivious to where the wolf headed after what happened last night so she decided to ask around. If she got lucky one of the villagers knew about it's wereabouts or at least point her in the right direction.
"No Madam, nothing strange last night. However, the moon did look brighter then usual" This is unheard off! How can no one know anything about last night? Surely someone must have seen or heard something. That's it! Wholves howl, maybe someone from the inn knows more, why didn't I think of this sooner?
Back at the inn she ask's about the whereabouts of the personel that had been working last night. After some supsicious questions from the owner she finally got what she came for.
'Well.. This is the last house.' Crossing the last adress of her list she proceeds to walk up to the door. *Knock, knock*. "Door's open!" Hesitend at first to walk into the strangers home she slowly opens it. 'Sorry to disturb, I have some questions for you'.
Once inside she notices there are various hunting equipment scattered across the hallway and multiple "Trophy's" hanging on the walls. Andonaïs was known for it's hunters, and of course that it was one of the few city's on top of a mountain. But for some reason the forrest in the valley below was filled with wildlife, many claim this as a sacred place, others find it coïncidence. They believe it has to do with the large amount of forest, couple that with the fresh water from the river and you could consider it a perfect spot.
While her toughts where drifting off, a young woman came down from the stairs, it was easily recognizeable as another Angelic guard. Tough.. She couldn't quite put the finger on it she assumed she was from the Ishino Guard. Like every Guard the had their own family names. But her questions where soon awnsered by the girl on the stairs. She had brown fur on her overal wolf like apearence. Ilanae was almost certain she looked way to young for her age. If it where not for the angelic wings and the top tier hunting gear she was wearing you would'nt have taken her serieus. She could easyly pass for an age of 16, even tough she knew that would not be true, most angels looked younger then their actual age, especially since they're body would stop aging once they reached the human age of 24.
"Hello wanderer, how may I help you? The names Helene, Helene Dawn" Ah, the Dawn Guard in Ishino, then she must know of the portal as well!
'Pleasure to meet you Helene, I'm Ilanae Faith from Kaleth, Ammon send me here after a letter from your Immortal about the portal in the forest'
"Good to see you arived in one piece Ilanae, come on in. Would you like some coffee?"
'I'd aprieciate that very much, I have a lot of buesiness I'd like to discuss'
While Elanor prepared the coffee noises could be heard from upstairs. "You are not alone here?" 'Oh that must be my sister' Using telepathy the Angels poccesed she whispered some words, and soon noises could be heard on the stairs, the pace was very quick, and before Ilanae could come up with a sentence she was already there. A beautifull wolf girl, grey fur with blue dots like a dalmatiër/jaguar hibrid. Complementing her blue hair and eyes.
"'Hey! Oh you are beautifull! I love new faces, whats your name? How are you doing? OH! My name is Elanor Dawn, how rude of me!"'
'Ilanae Faith, you look queite the girl yourself sweety' She said with a warm smile. This girl sure is excited, definetly young angels these two.
While the two of them are are rambling on about this and that Elanor comes back from the kitchen. "Good to see you two getting along, mind if I join in?"
"'Oeeh coffee<3"'
"I think you've had quiete enough for today sweety, but I can get you some tea" She awnsers with a teasing smile.
"'I suppoce your right.."'
"So what is it you would like to ask?" Helene asked.
'Well, where to start.. Allow me to explain why I came here in the first place.' Both party's start sharing info about what they know of the portal untill they come to the part where Ilanae and Aeylin split up. 'So now I'm after this wolf and was wondering if either one of you had seen or heard anything last night, the innkeeper told me one of you had worked a shift there and the locals where clearly to drunk to remember anything or deep in sleep.
"'Oh, I know, I know. I saw this big ball of fur heading to the farms at the valley below, seemed like he was in a rush!"'
"Fair enough, a werewolf you said? Those beast have supernatural strenght but in once they use it they need to feed again, or they'll stay weak and vulnerable, I propose we head there and ask around, I'm sure if the farmer misses a cow or two he'll gladly send us in the direction of the one responsible"
'We? No offense but aren't you suppoced to secure no evil comes from that forest near the portal?'
"You said he was a potential host for the portal right? Well if we capture him and render him useless we can stop the portal from hatching, then we can easyly deal with it, besides I still have to meet a tracker as good as me."
'Then it's settled, maybe I'll even learn a thing or two about tracking, can't say I'm too succesfull untill I found you two.'
"'What about me?! I wan't to go with you, I'm good with puppy's!"'
"You know the rules Elanor, one Guardian should always stay at it's post, and I am convinced that if I go with our friend here we'll be back before you know it, meanwhile you can try to contact Aeylin, I'm sure the locals will point you in her direction knowing how good you are with bonding."
"'Yay, Ill help! I'll inform Aeylin all about this and will gather more info about the portal."'
Ilanae looks outside she notices it's getting dark already. 'I propose we take a visit to the farms and request a bed there, if that wolf strikes again that would be an prime target'
"You are right, and I doubt the man will charge us for it, free protection comes rare these days."
