Electrifying Adventure
Poke'dex: Crathulu, the Deep Sea Pokemon, Crathulu is believed to be an Ancient Pokemon that ruled the oceans long before man existed. It used its psychic powers to control the will of other Pokemon. These other Pokemon would bring it food and worship it. one day it vanished never to be seen again. Crathulu is said to be nestled deep beneath the waves asleep, awaiting for the time it can rule over others once again.

I actually created this legendary Fakemon for a friend, i even gave this guy stats, power wise he's not too strong sad to say, i was trying to make it balanced. My friend really likes the H. P. Lovecraft story "call of Cthulhu" which of course is the source of the whole Cthulhu mythos. anyway enjoy!

Cthulhu was originally depicted as an extraterrestrial invader who obeyed alien laws of life & death. His thought waves were that alien to us, that recipients went insane or degenerated. There was no indication that he was imprisoned in R'lyeh, just dormant. The Elder Gods sealing him into a vault for rebellion was Derleth's addition. Lovecraft did hint at "space devils" and magic that restrained the people of Innsmouth.

If so, I doubt if you read any of the following:

The Dunwich Horror
At the Mountains of Madness
The Whisperer in Darkness
The Haunter of the Dark *
The Dreams in the Witch House
The Colour out of Space
The Thing on the Doorstep
The Shadow over Innsmouth
The Shadow out of Time

Less central are:

The Strange High House in the Mist
The Case of Charles Dexter Ward
Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath
The Hound
Celephais
The White Ship
The Rats in the Walls

Oh, there may be many others. But nobody else has quite captured the horror of the starry skies (fear the arms that can reach down and snatch you up !) or that of the ocean (monster cities in the depths, corruption & madness from beneath the waters...).

* Lovecraft's last. He was dying as he wrote and published it.

Well, do so !

I read when I was young, an anthology of sci-fi and "The Colour out of Space" was in it, and it colored my life ever since.

I now have an extensive library of Lovecraft's lore.
