A somewhat younger General Lohan rallying a rather ragged group of soldiers during a lull in a long and wearying battle.

It's a funny thing about Deirdre. For all her trouble relating to people on a personal level, she is one of the most respected Generals of her era. She has a reputation as a clever tactician and, perhaps more importantly, for always leading from the front. She values the lives of every soldier under her command and makes no judgments based on species or social class. She isn't particularly clever with words, but she has a way of inspiring bravery, and loyalty, that few others on the island of Viridis can match.
