I took great satisfaction in finally cutting that fucker Flowey down. I understand what happened for him to get to that point and the true ending fixes things but as Flowey he's pretty irredeemable. Which is actually in pretty stark contrast to everything else.

Same. Although you learn as such on the Pacifist route as well, I think? At the very least having felt alone. Although I think exactly how he came to be is only revealed on a You Bastard run.
But Flowey as he is on the neutral/first ending doesn't really have my sympathy. Kinda the same case up until he actually transforms on the pacifist route, too.
