Civis Caries allows people to submit their characters if they are willing to take part of the story, however you have to keep in mind various things in this story.
Point of view:
This is one of the very few stories I have done (or will do) in first person. This means that it follows Nergal all the time. Not all characters will be in every chapter, and some may appear from time to time, while others may be more common. Do not push for someone to be more prominent than others because I will decide who is used more, with input from Proteus. If you do not like this then I am sorry for ya, but you are out.
Mind the setting:
The story takes place in a modern city full of corruption, at least in the rich area of said city. Most, if not all, characters will be people with cash and used to a lifestyle of vice where it counts: Sex. It is safe (since it is a gated community and rumors spread fast, so better be clean), everyone likes gossip and sex is sometimes used more often than cash, since everyone has the dosh for things they want.
Very few people are GOOD, so think about this in this way: Nearly everyone has dirty laundry on someone, they have flings on the side, fuck within the family or have some naughty desires that they would prefer for others to be ignorant of (Like being gay or the like, since anything is ammo). Do not offer a white knight because this story is about people that aren’t fitting within the description of ‘nice’ since this community hardly accepts people, and they are soon ‘assimilated’ by temptation, pressure or some ‘help on the side’ with a drink or two.
If you want in, your character either was born in this community or was accepted quite some years before Nergal ever appeared, so chances of being a ‘good’ person? Next to zero, because if that was the case said character would’ve been kicked out a long time ago.
Sexual allowance:
This setting has males and females as the normal thing. Both Proteus and I wanted a more ‘realistic’ (Heh, I don’t believe it either) setting, so while they are real and all, this community doesn’t accept shemales and hermaphrodites (Fucking snobs!). We both like girly characters and not muscular males, so if someone wants a guy here, they better be girl looking, although some ‘normal’ guys may be accepted, do knock on wood though.
Any cub that will see ‘action’ is going to be female with 90% or more since both I, the author, and Proteus, the patron (And extra idea giver :3), like it that way. Nothing against those that like M/M, but do remember it is our preference first, and I already prefer girl/girly outlooks and am less partial of the male gender, which also goes for cubs.
This probably made a lot of you scamper already, but that is how it goes and this is not changing.
Species allowed:
Neither of us has any real problem with any species, but they do have to be furry (So no alien or species from games and such). Dragons and any other species that are ‘natural’ to earth (though maybe in myth) MAY be allowed, I would need to check it with my buddy though, as it may be a case by case basis when it comes to the species (For example: Hydras may be possible? But not sure).
Fetish focus:
From the most tame to the most extreme? Impregnation, adultery, cuckolding, general cheating, incest, rape, abuse and similar things. Almost all of these you will see from time to time, or at least once, so if you don’t like them you are screwed.
Fetishes not allowed:
Vore/Conjoining/Merging/Absorption/Digestion/Etc: Once more, pseudo realism: No one is going to eat no one and you won’t even see conjoined twins here. I would say a two headed character may be allowed, but that may be pushing it, so better safe than sorry. As for Vore? I simply dislike it :3.
Scat/Watersports/Similar body fluids/Waste related stuff: Let me be direct with you on this: This. Isn’t. Going. To. Happen. Have a nice day :3.
Babyfur: Both dressing as a baby and literal babies. I can only go so far, and that is a bit too far for my taste.
Mutilation/Abrasions/Murder/Etc: To each their own, but I am not going to murderize anyone here, much less kids, which also includes abrasion, mutilation and shit. Oh abuse is fine and all, and I know I sound like an hypocrite, but remember: This is fantasy, so no harm done, which means we go with what I am willing to write. The three things that I said earlier? Yeah, no.
Macro/Extreme muscles/Extreme fat/Hyper in general: Hyper I can like, and in some situations it is fun, but this setting does not allow for that. Excessive muscle, fat or macro are, thus, a no go, and I do not like them much/at all either, so you are warned by default.
No drugs in general: Okay, so this one may be bullshit, after all we are talking about rich people, right? We all know the stereotype about rich people… Well, fuck it o3o I do not like drugs, so don’t expect anyone doing them in this story other than maybe drinking a bit, I think we are already served with how many kinks are going to appear here.
Submitting a character:
Okay, you have gone through the not so quick summary that tells you how fucked up this story is. Now, how do you submit a character? Easy. First you need to make sure that the character obeys all the guidelines that I have listed, which probably have made most of you run in terror at the limitations I have imposed, or have had to cross many characters you may have had. Second: You better work it.
If you are wondering what I mean by ‘work it’, then let me clarify: If you hadn’t noticed, I liked detail, so I want detail. If you want to submit a character you need to list the name, species, age, height, weight, color of eyes, hair, fur, etc, etc, etc. Personality, background and the like are very important, so do not cut any corners, because it subtract points. A reference would also be nice if you have one. Do remember that Proteus WILL also take a look at said character, and he has to give it the thumbs up too, so you have to go through two guys.
But once you are here, ready to submit your character, you may probably wonder ‘What the fuck is he/she’ going to do? That is what the next section is for.
Character list:
Here is a list of characters that take part in Civis Caries. The family comes first, then the character and then their work. If your character doesn’t have a family (Singular person living alone or the like) then they are at the bottom.
Young characters will at last need a legal guardian (butler of some kind in case their parents are away), so they require a family name and at least a second character to support them.
Present positions to be filled are in black at the bottom of the list.
Some simple guidelines for those that may have interests when it comes to submitting a character for Civis Caries, as well as a quick character lineup at the bottom to show everyone that has joined (Character ownership will be written like this).
This story is made thanks to Proteus, whom is basically paying me per chapter, and he is also part of the inspiration for this story, so he is both patron and co-author in a sense :3 Do give him a watch or a poke ^^
