In the end Amaterasu must return to the Celestial Plains, where the Gods live, since the Gods couldnt accept that a she, a goddess (amaterasu, white female wolf) remains on earth and fall in love with a mortal (link, male green wolf), so they must say goodbye... never to see each other again.
