reason for failure: would consume the host after a period of 24 hours and would try to consume any creature near it.
back story: this creature is a failed experiment, it was suppose to create a super soldier for (what ever company made it) but was an utter failure. it consumes the host inside and out, but it refuses to go near children or pregnant women. they attempted to destroy the creature and appeared to do the job how ever a small fraction of the creature survived and continued to feed on adult animals, but as they studied the creasure during this they did note that it was growing smarter, suggesting that the creature was not feeding on creatures for sustenance, but to increase its own intelligence.
