RD Labs XXXIV - Get off the video games!
Sarah walked back into the security door. She was glad she didn't have to escallate the situation any farther between everyone in the lunch room. Even though the eastern dragoness would have happily decimated everyone in the dining facility if she had to, it would have taken far more time to revive them and a few may not have survived enough to be more than just comatose potatos. Sarah moved around the plush security chair and sat back down, sighing. Looking up at the cameras one more time and seeing everyone calmed down now, she leaned to the side and picked up her attache case. Placing it in her lap she put her paw over the middle of the longer side. There was a scanner here which began to glow with a green scan laser, which identified her as the correct owner, and caused the dual heavy bolts to unlock on the front. It was her special breifcase from back on earth and only she could open it until a new owner was registered with it.

She opened the case. Inside was a stack of files and folders containing private records, confidential mercenary orders, photos, and a small stack of media disks. The Eastern girl was quite the vicious weapon back on earth, but she couldn't let anyone know how deep the tangled web actually was. She pulled out a folder containing quite a few mercenary orders and pictures from years past and begin reminiscing over them. This generally wasn't like her, but she did miss a bit of the old world. She set the folder on the desk and began reading over the contents once more. "NMHCI" it was titled. "New Mexico Heretic Cleansing Initiative." she muttered to herself, remembering the name of the operation. The Eastern reminisced about the day some more, playing the scenario in her head again as her and her ranger tank crew blitzed across the desert, circling the humans region capitol, preparing to take the area for equal rights between humans and furs. In her head she could hear herself giving the order to fire and her batallion releasing a volley of APAC shells into the air. At the same moment they exploded, sending shards of metal hurling towards the ground and hypersonic speed, she felt a tap on her shoulder nearly making her jump sky high in the security chair.

It was Dancer who startled her from her memories and back into reality. She quickly tried to gather her papers and stuff them back into her case, but one picture fell loose and fluttered towards the purple dragon. Dancer normally wouldn't have cared and just given the photo back, but as he picked it up he took a closer look at it. It was of Sarah standing to the flank of a tank in the city square of the rubbled capitol. He noticed she was wearing a special ops outfit that hardly covered her body. "My, it looks like those echelon guards didn't wear much back then." He chuckled to himself. Sarah didn't move however and kept still in the chair with her back turned towards him. "I would really rather not remember that day if you don't mind." She spoke with a grim tone. "Although I was following orders, I regret being there now. We saw a lot of things there that we shouldn't have and it haunts me to this day."

"Oh don't worry." Dancer replied, handing the picture back to her. "We did what we had to do to protect our rights as a species. The humans are too stubborn to realise that we can live in peace together. They think they are the top of the ranks, and won't let anyone else tell them otherwise. It's just one of the natural inabilities that humans have. I think it's called arrogance, but I am no psychiatrist." Sarah quickly took the picture and stuffed it into the case and quickly secured it again. She wasn't really upset by him seeing the picture, or by the situation of that day contrary to what she said the moment prior. She was following orders and had no regrets. Sarah stood up and brushed off her skirt, turning around to face Dancer. "Well, it must be your shift if your here. I will be on my way now." Sarah's voice came calmly as she grabbed her belongings and walked out the door. She had a lot more memories she was lucky no one else knew about, far more malicious than this and she wanted to exit before they surfaced as well.
