Chapter 3: Cerin and the prince (and the mix)
For the next two years, things have been surprisingly quiet, with no attacks from Jasper and no issues with kingdom affairs. Nomad was sitting in a quiet secluded room that only she could enter, it was a dimly lit room that was painted red with a table in the center that had a book on the top of it, the book of the dead, which gave her any power she needed to use, that's why she was capable of using her future telling ability. Namuna was always skeptic about her and why it was possible since this type of power was forbidden due to Johns ancestors using the same book and nearly destroyed the entire world.
"I must keep you a secret until the 'day of the king' where HE will take the throne and I can step down. I don't want to, but I need to use this in order to protect my people from Jasper... Or she could come and slaughter everyone and id be powerless to do anything! I can't allow that to happen." She said, looking into the future a bit.
"Oh? That can't be good... I have to warn Eric." She ran out of the room and sealed it quickly, she was obviously worried about something but what?
---------------------------------------------------------
Eric was at the door of the kingdoms preschool he had unlisted inferno in, Chris was there two but in the kindergarten. Inferno had developed his thoughts and mind quick so he was ready for preschool.
"Alright buddy, be good and listen to the teacher, ill pick you up at the castle afterwards so you and Chris can play for a bit, alright?" He held his cub in a hug as inferno Waite anxiously for his first day.
He nodded quickly with a grin, an once let go in the class, he waved at his papa then went to the class. The teacher was a young lady named Kuma, she had long red hair and wore a black and red dress. She looked at inferno and smiled "oh hello, you must be inferno J Adams, your father called and told me you'd be here today."
Inferno nodded cutely, he didnt speak much but he sure knew a lot for his age. He looked and saw an adorable little dragon being shown around by chris, he was black and had adorable fluffy ears and white hair. This was cerin... What inferno didnt know was that this boy would teach him a great lesson in being responsible as a parent.
Inferno skipped over to Chris and smiled. "Hey ferno, this is cerin, he just moved Into the castle with his dad." Chris introduced him to the little guy who hid his face wit his claws and whined, he was a shy little guy.
Inferno shook his paw and smiled. "You cute." Inferno managed to say, being words he hears from Eric on a day to day basis.
Cerin blushed cutely at the comment, it showin well through his black scales. Chris chuckled softly at that, he always sees inferno being an oddball and that's why he loved him, but didnt know that feeling was love. He saw the teacher gathering the kids for an arts and crafts activity and it was a group project 'make a banner for your parents.'
Inferno was always a crafty and creative boy and already had an idea and they let him start. He did it in thirds, painting colors to indicate the thirds. Chris got green as it was his favorite color, inferno got red and cerin handed inferno a blue paint bottle for his color. Inferno showed they needed to put what their parents are best known for and why they're special.
Chris did his portion on Nomad and John being the king and queen, but left out the fact they were seperated as John loved a man named Cliff, a bear man who he has known since highschool.
Cerin put that his dad was a soldier in the royal army and that his mother was dead. He put a sad face near the gravestone but wrote 'I no it was 4 good reason so I am hapy that she is okay.' But the spelling wasnt the best. Chris chuckled and rubbed the boys head
Inferno basically gave his own story, about how his mom was harmed by Jasper but had a great person to call his daddy... Eric. The teacher saw and smiled softly, inferno was a very brave kid.
