Okay, round three of my Apprentice search. Might do one more before going into second rounds of interviews, but for now...

Candidate #9, Lucille Barlow. Well, when I saw a crow reporting for the apprentice position, I didn't expect someone quite so.. ...cheerful. Not sure if her quoting Martha Stewart should be a good thing or a sign of darker powers at work.

Candidate #10, Kiyone Karu. Seems being in the more High-Mana environment of my Sanctum has triggered some latent potential in her. I might have to either take her as an apprentice to train her, or find a way to restrain her powers, depending on how the interview process works. ...Her being a friend of Skye's not exactly reassuring.

Candidate #11, Neveah Turner. Well, she has the right attitude, and has decent taste in fantasy literature. Especially since her reaction to mentions of the Twilight series was mock gagging. And she's cute, too.

Candidate #12, Thomas Byers. Well, he's smart and well read, and has experience working in a library. And as an elephant, he's well "built" in many ways...
