demi-human is typicly what its short for, any charicter that is almost entirly human but for a few animal features, neko's being the the most well known. technicly the term, from its root words, means 'less then human' but for most furs it means 'too human' what draws the line between a demi and a fur proper is rather strongly debated but myself and a great many others have a rather simple criteria, to be a fur it must have one kind of each of the following a pelt [of feathers, scales, or fur doesnt mater] a muzzle, and unless the species usualy doesnt have one, a tail.

i tend to like digitgrade but its not 100 percent nessiary for me, and keeping in mind theres an entire branch of furs all the way on the far side of the line, feral anthros [furries who have non anthro forms, but anthro minds...think red thirteen from final fantasy, or simba from lion king, animal body, not so animal mind. and can still speak]
