I think they will. It's one of a couple of obvious stories left to tell, so I have no doubt they'll explore it. Ideally they'll focus on why Silver Spoon tolerates DT's behaviour. I'm thinking that she doesn't want to be bullied herself, so she chose the role of primary acolyte instead. Also a bit of an obvious story, I think, but it should be plenty interesting. Maybe it will even develop her relationship with the CMC, so that perhaps when she's alone with them she will be more sympathetic.
Out of the two she's obviously the more rounded character, and you can already say that the seeds of this were planted in the early seasons. I'm thinking particularly of Family Appreciation Day, when SS is the first to clap when Granny finishes her story and looks almost disgusted when DT calls her a kooky old lady.
Alternatively, DT's story could focus on the essence of her spoiled brat behaviour. You don't need to throw in all the bad parenting tropes. (We've already seen enough of it.) Rather, I'd like to know what she really wants. Ideally it's something she doesn't even know she wants.
At the heart we get to their hopes and insecurities, and that's bound to be stellar writing. And cute ponies too. :D

Yea either story would be interesting. Ponyville Confidential did give Tiara some interesting aspects. Maybe not really a positive way to do it but she was driven and wanted the paper to be the best.
Hero541 did a really interesting Fanfic on Tiara set after that episode as well, that went into her mindset. Though it's purely head canon it is really interesting. However it does play on the bad parenting tropes.

The bad parenting is partially unavoidable, of course. We've already been given a glimpse of that. I think she does have a drive to succeed that ties into that. All very material.
