Purely meaningless. I just came up with the dialogue, giggled a lot, then drew a cartoon around it.

Now that i think about it, it's kind of Stewie-ish from Family Guy. But that wasn't the intention. Just a poop joke.

This is actually normal for some species. Guinea pigs, for one example, need to eat their own poop; a good portion of their digestive process takes place in the large intestine, so getting all the nutrients requires running it through a second time. I've seen hamsters eat their own turds, so I think (stink?) their guts work the same way.

Plenty of mammal mothers consume the droppings of their infant young to keep the den clean. Disgusting as it may sound - no shit.
