On this particular night, there was a storm system moving in from over the horizon with lightning already visible from a distance, hence why the sky beyond the tree tops looked black with no stars. It was still clear overhead with a full moon shining down. The house can be seen in the immediate background. By now, the family is in the bedroom, bedded down and snuggled up for the night. When the storm hits in another hour or so, the meerkats will cuddled up together under the blankets, asleep in the bedroom. A coal oil lamp is kept lit and turned down low in the living room (no electrical grid where they live).
Once I get the Meerkat Family figurines made, I'll be able to have the house and car scenes with the characters in it doing things, with some of it as short stories like the one where Joska Fox got stung by a bee. As you noticed, there were different original views in that posting of Joska Fox, but all the views of Joska still looked like Joska. That is the beauty of creating the characters in figurine form. It makes keeping the character's appearance looking consistent easy to do. So during the next few weeks, I probably won't be posting a lot while I am making the figurines.
There is mention made of that shed in Chapter 1 of the story linked below.
I thank you much, and for the favorite. Even thought the house has a dirt floor and curtains for windows, it would be a nice place to be when that storm in the background arrives.
