The Adventures of Shaymin Chapter 5
Shaymin rushes through the hall doors Latias not far behind.
“Shaymin as your guardian I have to forbid you from doing this! If Arceus is really in a stasis it won’t have any idea what is going on right now!”
“I don’t care. He killed my dad and any edge we can get the better we will have of ending his life.”
Latias was taken aback. Shaymin words were cold with pure revenge sown in between. There was a long silence between the two. Latias spoke up first.
“I-I’m sorry I didn’t know. Shaymin… Please just be careful.”
“I will.”
Giratina walks in “Do you even know where Arceus could be?”
Shaymin looked back from Giratina. “No I have no idea.”
Latias shakes her head. “Then how do we awake the strongest Pokémon in existence? What happens if we unleash the wrong Pokémon on this world?!”
Shaymin looks at Latias confused “What do you mean wrong Pokémon? I thought all the legendaries were here?”
Giratina shakes his head now “In the earlier times some legendaries Arceus created were…displeased with it being the ruler of everything. Some thought him idiotic allowing humans to exist in this world. This led to him locking some away. Ever heard of Xerneas? Yveltal?”
“No I haven’t ever heard of those legendaries. Too be fair though I have only been here for a few days and based all my assumptions of the Pokémon I know from where I spent my last 16 years.”
Mew butts in “Aaaaaaand Now that your back you’re part of the baby legendary clan! Being a 1 year old Shaymin that never ages make you perfect for our club!” Mew giggles.
Giratina looked ready to tear Mews head of at that point.
Mewtwo comes over. “Mew could you please let us be?”
Mew giggles again “Okay!”
“So Giratina I am assuming you plan to tell Shaymin that you know where Arceus lies?”
Shaymin bursts into Giratinas face “YOU DO?!”
Giratina pushes the Pokemon away. “Yes I do and I will take ONLY you there Shaymin. I would be better if most of the legendaries stayed here.”
“Before you go Shaymin. I have something for you.” Mewtwo speaks up.
Shaymin throws on a curious face then follows Mewtwo to her respective room. It was obviously purple with a ceiling of a blue sky. Shaymin diverts her attention to a battlesuit that Mewtwo pulls out from a stand.
“I have been working on this since you arrived. I figured you would need it.”
It was white with a gracidea flower in the middle of the chest. The indents were of course glowing pink. It covered every part of Shaymins body, but her head.
“I don’t know what to say.”
“Think of it as a welcome gift.”
Shaymin looks at her now armored hands and then back at Mewtwo.
“Thank you.”
Mewtwo smiles lightly. “Now it isn’t ready to be used whilst you are using your Golden Gracidea and its still power inefficient. If you’re not careful you will tire yourself out too quickly. Luckily the Golden Gracidea heals you fully when engaged, but when you use the Golden Gracidea take off the armor please. It also has self sustaining power, strengthens all your moves and powers, quick take off system, and a couple more surprises. This should throw team Galactic off their game.”
“Oh heck yes it will.”
Giratina comes in “Are you ready?”
Shaymin clenches her fist. “Always!”
Giratina and Shaymin head off. Shaymin thought this would be an opportune time to get some more answers so she started conversation.
“So what the deal with Latias and being my guardian and why do you not like me so much?”
“Every chosen one has a guardian assigned to them. It was rule that was put into effect many centuries ago.”
“That’s why she’s so protective huh?”
“No… Last time she lost her chosen one. A legendary was chosen once. Arceus thought if someone who had access to an above normal strength was chosen then maybe we would have a better chance.”
“So what happened?”
“The legendary chosen was Latias’s brother. Latios..”
“That’s rough.”
There was a long silence between between the two. Giratina finally spoke up again.
“I have my reason for not liking your species of Pokémon.”
“Why though?”
“There was an incident recently. A shaymin brought an insane human named Zero into the distortion world. He nearly destroyed a large part of our world.”
“I remember that movie! It was my favorite, but I don’t understand that shaymin saved you.”
“Your world’s movies are altered versions of what really happened. The shaymin turned out to be working with Zero all along. He planned it all. He was able to alter the shaymin’s seed flare to allow a portal to be formed from my world to the other one.”
“What happened to the shaymin and Zero?”
“He escaped and his shaymin partner perished…”
“I’m sorry I never knew.”
“Every legendary thinks differently about you Shaymin. Some hate you, some like you, some look up to you, some respect you, and some don’t know what to think yet.”
Shaymin paused, but then spoke up. “What do you think of me?”
Giratina didn’t respond. Shaymin looks away wishing she never decided to ask questions.
“We’re here.”
The two were flying above a large grassland with a mountainous area near the center as well as a village.
“This is where the Arceus and the jewel life occurred.”
“That one was actually true mostly… Arceus should be inside somewhere.”
Before Shaymin could say anything more she noticed a few Transport ships.
“Giratina!”
“I see them.”
It wasn’t long before shots were being fired at them. Shaymin immediately went into action. Giratina Veered off towards to enemies lingering at the copters whilst Shaymin recklessly crashed through the solid rock roof of the temple with a well placed energy ball.
Sirius walks up to Cyrus leader of team galactic who is standing over a beaten down Arceus. Two Galactic Guards were holding tight on a girl with blue hair. Her dress was in shreds and she badly beaten.
“To think the creator of our world fell so easily. Pity.”
“I didn’t even break a sweat. Hehe”
Arceus struggles to lift itself off the ground. “You will not prevail. The Prophecy.”
“The Prophecy means nothing you will be beaten before as you were countless time before and now with Team Galactics assistance we will conquer this world and one beyond.”
“N-never.” Arceus almost gets up, but is pushed down by Cyrus’s boot. “AGH!”
“NO! DON’T HURT IT!”
Cyrus then walked over very quickly and slapped the girl. “You will be silent!”
The dark and evil tone was interrupted as Shaymin comes down from the sky. Sirius looks up.
“Peek a boo!” Shaymin falls straight onto Sirius then does a back flip to disarm one of the two Galactic guards whilst disabling the other one with swift.
“Well if it isn’t the thorn in my side and Arceus’s little pet.” Cyrus says as Giratina floats downward.
“Nice job breaking priceless temple roof.”
Shaymin ignores Giratina and focuses on Cyrus
“Nice to see you too jerk. We are taking Arceus.”
“I think my associate begs to differ.”
Shaymin’s eyes widen as she flings her leg around to nail Sirius in the face only to miss and engage in a hand to hand combat. Shaymin manages to get words out in her struggle.
“Get Arceus out of here!”
“What about you?” Giratina says whilst lifting Arceus across the shoulder.
Shaymin was stronger than when she first fought Sirius, but she could feel herself slowly getting weaker as the suit drained the extra energy and strength it needed to function. Meaning she needed to wrap this fight up quick.
“Go I’ll be fine!”
Giratina nods and flies away. Unfortunately the distraction cost Shaymin a great deal as Sirius goes and uses flamethrower at close range. In normal Circumstances it would near kill a normal Shaymin. Thankfully she wasn’t normal. Shaymin struggles to her feet and jumps over Sirius as he uses flame charge and pushes on his back. Sirius slides across on the dirt from unbalanced push slams into the wall. Shaymin was about to take this chance and leave, but she noticed the girl. Shaymin without thought hoists her onto her back and flies up. Once Sirius gets back up Shaymin is long gone.
Back at the Hall of Origins Arceus was finally awakening and feeling stronger than ever. Latias, Mewtwo, and Giratina gather in its chambers.
“So the chosen one has finally returned.”
“Yes we rescued you just in time. How we you so easily beaten Arceus?”
“Giratina you of all of us should know that when I awake from a slumber I am very weak.”
“Yes of course…”
“Now where is this Shaymin I have been hearing so much about?”
“Someone call? Also could I get some help.”
Shaymin is standing in the doorway still holding the mysterious girl. Latias comes over and assists the girl by taking her off Shaymin’s back and into a different room to treat her wounds. Shaymin who is now out of the battle suit which has retracted into an over the shoulder backpack hands it to Mewtwo.
“Needs a bit of work.”
Mewtwo nods and takes it out and back to her room.
“So… You are the one I chose all those years ago. You haven’t changed very much especially in age.”
“Ok when are the age reminders gonna stop?! Yes I am 1 year old forever I GET IT!”
“Forgive me. You have also acquired the Golden Gracidea.”
“Yes. I was also wondering if you could enlighten me a bit more on somethings. I have so many questions and so little answers.”
“And I will answer these questions, but you have more things to worry about. The world you grew up in and know is in grave danger.”
