crayon ponies!

so i haven't really drawn proper ponies for a while now, i recently saw a tumblr all about pony art and animations and it got me thinking... should i go back to ponies?

i left the pony art behind when Purus arrived but i have always looked at others and wondered "how good would i be if i stuck with the pony tumblr and art?" so i did a little sketch of 3 of the main 6 ponies and now i'm confused.

anyone have any thoughts?

so what do you think i should do? stick with the CBG (Servare, Purus, Trixy and other anthros) or switch to ponies for a while?

well theres a huge Pony fanbase in here so if you want to make some money and practice at the same time I would recommend switching to ponys for a while, also you did some really good expresions here so I think you will have a few comissioners waiting for your pony art in no time ^^

i forgot who i was talking to, i was half expecting "i like ponies! do ponies!" or the opposite, i was pleasantly surprised hahaha

ok super duper serious now ~ ehem.

that makes so much sense, i am in need of money and while i do have commissions to finish it wouldn't be hard to mix in the ponies... Servare and the lot aren't going anywhere so it wouldn't hurt... and who knows it might get me more followers.

I dont think focusing on only one thing is ever the best answer. But if youre gonna draw ponies..MOAR Applejack!! :)

Do you even lift, brony?

I'm cool with most of your art, but ponies just earned an actual favorite from me, especially because you opted to draw Best Pony™ Fluttershy! I'd say you might as well start including ponies in your things you're willing to draw for commissions. Hell, I'd commission you right now if I had more than US$4.00 to send your way right now.

i uh... i don't like the tv show... i draw ponies because i like drawing cartoons and because they are popular >.> <.< >.> i'm not a sellout i swear!

though i'm glad you like it! i work so others love me so i always appreciate appreciation... yeah xD

Eh, it's cool. Certainly not gonna force the show on you, because that would make me The Worst Brony™.

As far as I'm concerned, you're not a sellout. Then again, it's probably because you're willing to draw something that I'm a fan of, and no one wants to think what they like personally makes anyone a sellout! Still, yes, I'm jealous that you can draw those ponies so well and I just suck massive donkey balls whenever I try to draw anything remotely like those. X3

with enough practice anyone can be good at anything, just keep drawing and don't shred any of your work since you need to learn from your mistakes.

also i have tried watching the show, i've watched one episode from every season to see if it could win me over but so far it hasn't, the only one i actually liked was the DBZ styled fight between twi and... the big minotaur guy... tyril? tiral? eh

I know if I keep practicing, I'll get better eventually, but for the time being, I'm actually not all that interested in drawing ponies myself! As for not being able to get into the show, I don't fault you. It's actually a lot to expect anyone else to watch the same thing and instantly fall in love with it like you did yourself. X3
