Jason McIntosh walked up to the front steps of his house. The paint on the front was becoming shabby and the overgrown weeds covering pprtions of the walkway buggered him. Maybe they should start using the back entrance... that's what most people do; the front of the house is just for show. He looked at the cracks in the faded blue that, despite being just about the same color, clashed with the old siding that had been installed some years before they moved in. 'Oh, well...' he thought, 'at least my family makes it all worth it.' Jason entered the house. "I'm hom-" "But i’m a ghost!" A nearly pantsless Tay yelled, almost knocking his father down as he flew out of the door. "Eeep!" Jason yelped, moving out of the little dingo’s way. Tay stopped in the middle of the front yard, just a T-shirt and undies. "Can’t have my face! Can’t have my faa-haaace!" The little boy cried, running again once he caught a glimpse of his angry mother barreling toward the door. "Taylor! Come back here! Taylor!" Brenda yelled, Tay's pants tightly in her fist. "Taylor, you’ve got no pants on!" She added, stopping at the door. Tay cornered himself near the driveway, as if actually afraid to leave the property in his undies. "No! I don’t… I don’t wanna wear pants!" Tay whined. "Get back here, young man!" "Ghosts don’t wear pants! I’m a ghost!" "Taylor Ryan Mcintosh, If you don’t-" "Rraahaahaahaahh!!!!!" Tay screamed, sounding more like a dinosaur than a ghost. Brenda took a breath and turned to kiss her husband. "Welcome home, Honey." She said sweetly before turning from loving wife to enraged mother. "Get your bum back here right now!" "No! You stink!" Tay retorted running from Brenda, who was now out the door coming after him. "Taylor!" "Noooo!!!!" Jason watched the spectacle playing out on his front yard. This was business as usual for the McIntosh's. Behind him, Izzy and Scooter came down the stairs, both wearing T-shirts and shorts. "Hi, Daddy!" Izzy said, smiling big up at her father. Jason looked down. "Princess!" He said, bending down to pick up his beautiful little daughter. "So, what was that all about?" He asked. Izzy flipped her freshly cleaned hair from her face. "Tay doesn’t want to wear pants again." She said. "I figured that as much." Jason said with a sigh, almost chuckling. The little girl continued. Scooter had since wandered off, sniffing out some newly prepared grilled cheese sandwiches on the kitchen bar. "First, we played then mommy bathed us; Tay had to use your shower." Izzy explained. "He was goofing around too much, so Mommy bathed him there. Then we played some more and Mommy tried to give Tay his pants, but he said no, screamed and ran out." Izzy finished. Jason laughed. "Haha, that was me at his age!" Jason chuckled. Izzy giggled as Jason gently put her down. He noticed Scooter climb up into a barstool. "So, who’s that?" He asked in a whisper. Izzy looked over at her friend. "Oh, him? That’s our friend, Scooter! He’s a skunkbunny from our class!" Izzy said. Jason leaned in, eyebrows being playful. "Ahh… is he your boyfriend?" Jason said, eyes lowered to his daughter, who blushed. "Ugh, Daddeee! No!" She giggled, embarrassed that her dad would suggest such a thing. "He’s just-" she said, just as she caught a pair of eyes; Scooter's eyes, looking at her from the stool, eating a sandwich , smiling. The little dingo girl blushed more, a sudden realization coming over her. Like it had always been there and she never looked at it before."l "Heh… he’s just… a friend…" she said, slurred between her teeth and her smile. Jason watched his daughter 's actions, smirking. "I see…" he said, walking off. Izzy walked over to the bar, sat in a stool, grabbed a sandwich and ate, cutely smiling at Scooter.
