Art Journey - Pre, Post splice bodies
Proportions have continued to be a thorn in my side as I play around with head and facial structures, which are usually the indication of how to proceed with the rest of the body. This was an attempt to nail down the normal for my usual.

Forgot to add that chest is usually smaller, making arm/shoulder situation more convenient.

I find smaller bodies cute and easier to draw. Faces have a lot of visual value without demanding canvas real-estate. Also cartoons.

At least the butt remained intact, though would be slightly amusing if it didn't change size at all.

Nori proportions are small. .....Within reason. Also, I was thrown off when you said the chest was small until I realized you were referring to width. If you weren't, I would have immediately considered it an absolute lie.

I like these proportions. I might try and draw a few of my characters using it, considering I already love your style o3o

The more you notice about your process, the more you can learn from it. It's always worth your time to try new things!
