First I want to give a big thank you to everyone who left a comment on my journal last week.  It's been tough but your wonderful words have helped me get through the worst of it.  To kind of help myself move on and provide a distraction I've been learning more about making things in flash.  For the longest time I could not for the life of me figure out how to make a proper rpg in flash.  I came close with the pokemon game but I've found a way to create a turn based combat system with more then two characters.

A lot of the sprites I used in this picture are imported from the other school days games but translate well to this.  Now please don't ask if I'm actually going to make a game from this.  The thing is I need to get a demo RPG engine set up first.  I save time using things I've already made instead of taking the time creating content I'll probably not use.  If I was though, I'd most likely use the Snowed In plot line as a starting point that leads to a bigger adventure.  But I have no inspiration for writing right now so I'm just going to continue building a tech demo and then apply it to an original story idea I'm cooking up.

Please though tell me what you think of this set up.  And if you'd REALLY like to me work on a School Days RPG then PLEASE let me know in the comment box.  I hope you all like this.  ^v^

First off, YES, I WANT A SCHOOL DAYS RPG!!!

Okay, now that's out of the way...

I'm really glad to hear that you've been learning so many new tricks with Flash, and I'd love to see what you can do with a new 'proper' RPG system like this. If you're looking for ideas of possible scenarios or even whole scripts, I'd like to help out if I can. Not to start a circus here or anything, but you know you could add something like this to the BSC game as a way of encountering and interacting with other charactors (like Knux or even saving cream from Robotnic!) In the mean time at least, just keep exploring and practicing with the mechanics until your ready to dive into an actual game with it. You've got the right idea of using this for a scratch pad, so just in case you screw it up, it's not a big loss.

I would really like to see you finish your game too.
I like your 2post pictures. I like how its a little jumbled up at the top, it makes it a little unique. Is the bottom part suppost to be arrow key operated? Even if you don't apply it to this game, I think it works pretty well. With that said, I don't think you should add it to BSC like the previous post said. Because I like both setups and there is no point in trying to take one out just to add to a single game when you can keep them separate and have a good setup idea for multiple games.
I do hope you get a chance to work on your earlyer works, but I am most happy that you are bettering your self in your skills that will benfit your future works.

No. I would like to see a School Days game, but it is not going to work if game play is based around fighting.

yes please make this game. I have seen through many of the projects you have worked on, everything you touch turns to gold. I look forward to anything you do or are involved with. Keep up the great work.
