Another one of our old commissions, of Dez’s dragon character. The metallic silver and bright red colors made for a really fun time on him - you know, even aside from the fact that I got to draw a dragon. Every time a dragon character came in, I just smiled and thanked past-David for obsessively drawing dinosaurs during the majority of his childhood existence. It always irked me, even as a kid, when I would watch a cartoon or read a comic where the characters suddenly encountered a dinosaur or shark, and it looked like some sad monstrosity softly crafted from play-dough and furniture parts. I always used to wonder why the artists could draw people, but not the much-more-fun-to-draw-anyways creatures. …Wow, I was kind of a picky brat.
