I would have submitted this sooner, but SOMEONE was down for most of the day! (ahem)
While doing some random web surfing, I found inspiration in an early 1990s cartoon called Bots Master. The show hasn't held up well thanks to shaky animation and ridiculous storylines, but it does have a certain demented charm that has a lot to do with the bizarre character designs. A three armed ninja android, a cyclopean cyborg doctor, and a quintet of robot heads are just a few of the stars of this short-lived series.
One human member of the cast is Blitzy, who's the designated spunky tomboy of the show. With her uneven legwarmers and hot pink jacket, she looks like she made her cartoon debut ten years too late. However, I've always been a fan of the loud and aggressive fashion sense of the 1980s, which is why I've elected to draw Sunny with Blitzy's distinctive wardrobe. Naturally, the shorts have been replaced with a standard issue disposable diaper, 'cuz that's just how Sunny rolls!
