Reference sheets are always good, but I also think that it should always have some sort of nude counterpart.
Not for sexual purposes, but so that anyone else who may end up drawing the character, will fully know their colors and patterns, so that they may draw them freely in whatever position, or outfit the image calls for.
Such nude references also don't need to show gentiles (everyone seems to forget this)

This character is quite adorable. It's all the different, unique colors that blend together well that catches my eyes. Seems like the kind of girl I would have liked to of known at that age. You did a fantastic job with her. (:
